You might want to go fill the kettle and get it to a rolling boil because there are rumbles of a feud between disgraced social media starlets Jameela Jamil and Caroline Calloway, and ooft, the tea is piping hot.
But first, let’s regroup. ICYMI, or have no idea what I’m going on about, Caroline Calloway is an Instagram personality that went viral late last year after her frenemy and former ghostwriter Natalie Beach wrote an intense, emotional and at times downright savage tell-all about their relationship for New York Magazine’s The Cut.
Jameela Jamil, on the other hand, is an actress, radio presenter and activist, perhaps best known for playing Tahani on The Good Place. Jamil landed herself in an equally-as-messy controversy earlier this year when she came out as queer after receiving backlash for her role as judge on a vogueing reality TV show. The plot only thickened when Jamil was later accused of fabricating a number of health issues and having Munchausen’s syndrome.
Yep, it’s a lot.
Fast-forward to this week and it looks like these fellow ‘scammers’ may have some beef. Jamil recently appeared on the aptly titled Scam Goddess podcast, and when chatting about the Caroline Calloway saga, jokingly called her an “asshole.”

Speaking about Calloway’s controversial creativity workshops, Jamil said, “someone would’ve shoved a flower crown up my ass if I tried to do this.” Later, she asked, “who is playing this woman in the movie of her stupid f*cking life?”
The cherry on the top of the cake had to be when Jamil said, “I hate this woman – if I ever see her, I’m going to beat her ass.”
Well, the comments didn’t go unnoticed by Calloway, who took to Twitter to make her feelings known. “Even though I’ll probably raise 20k for charity today, seeing this still made me feel so small,” she tweeted, with a link to the podcast episode. “I really like @jameelajamil! I didn’t repost any of the Munchausen drama when it was happening bc I know how toxic cancel culture can be. On this ep Jameela says she’d kick my ‘arse.’”
Jameela Jamil responded by telling Caroline Calloway she wasn’t cancelled, and apologised if what she had been told about her “scamming” was a lie.
Calloway thanked Jamil for the apology, but pointed out that the podcast host had used “articles that sensationalised and cancelled me, just as other articles have been used to sensationalise and cancel you.”
Sounds like it might be water under the bridge for now, but my God, that is quite enough tea for one day.
