The First Married At First Sight Teaser Is Here For Your Daily Dose Of Cringe

"I’ll never be the same."

Viewers have been treated to their first teaser for next year’s season of Married At First Sight and it’s just as cringeworthy as you’d expect.

The ad was released by Channel Nine on Sunday revealing a number of the brides and grooms as they wander through an enchanted forest.

It then sees the couples walk through a ‘Tunnel of Love’ which looks a little creepy, but is soon lit up with fairy lights – fairy lights make everything less creepy right?

It becomes very dramatic and almost Twilight-esque as different men and women find their matches and kiss, with one couple lifted off the ground. The pair spin around as they smooch and are lifted all the way into the night sky with a very dramatic full moon behind them.

Watch it here:

Fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the teaser and it’s very mixed.

One fan wrote on the Married At First Sight Facebook page, “Another [season] of beautiful people who reckon they cannot find love… When are they going to pick normal people?”

Another added, “This promo video reminds me of one of those odd and slightly confusing perfume [ads],” and I’d have to agree. Another user seemingly read my mind when they wrote, “Are they vampires in a teen franchise movie?”

Someone else wrote, “I’m still trying to recover IQ points from the last one. I’ll never be the same, I’m traumatised and tainted for life.”

Woman’s Day reports Elizabeth Sobinoff, who appeared in the 2019 season of Married At First Sight, will return to our screens as an intruder in the next season.

The mag also reports Jules Robinson and Cam Merchant will return, not as contestants, but as last season’s success story. The pair recently tied the knot for real with A Current Affair filming the whole thing for Channel Nine.

Daily Mail reports Elizabeth has been set up with Seb Guilhaus, a professional sportsman, and it’s believed they’re “still going strong”. The publication also reports that Guilhaus is an actor, how convenient.

It appears as though Guilhaus had a StarNow page, but it’s since been taken down.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to watch the madness unfold next year.
