Tristan Thompson should probably be known for the fact he plays in the NBA for the Cleveland Cavaliers – I mean, he’s no Kawhi Leonard, but if he’d played his cards right maybe he could have been known for his profession.
Instead, the world knows him as the guy who got Khloe Kardashian pregnant, then cheated on her days before the baby was born, and then continued to cheat on her multiple times.
Khloe forgave him multiple times, but the straw that broke the camel’s back was earlier this year when news broke Tristan cheated on her with her close friend Jordyn Woods.
The reality star made it very clear she couldn’t stay with Tristan and told Us Weekly overnight she’s happily single, adding she doesn’t need a man.
“I feel really happy and I’m spending so much time with my family. We’re working so much, but I like that I’m taking time for myself, and I think that I’m really good at being single! I enjoy it.”
At the time of the cheating scandal, Khloe took to Twitter and said, “This has been an awful week & I know everyone is sick of hearing about it all (as am I). I’m a rollercoaster of emotions & have said things I shouldn’t have. Honestly, Tristan cheating on me & humiliating me, wasn’t such a shock as the first time.”
“I have to move on with my life & count my blessings, my family, my health, & my beautiful baby True.”
Now, Tristan has taken to Instagram to wish Khloe a happy birthday with a message that was probably meant to show the public that he’s changed and that he’s a sweet guy. But it’s pretty obvious he’s wishing her a happy birthday on social media because he can’t do it privately.
He wrote, “Happy birthday @khloekardashian… You are the most beautiful human I have ever met inside and out. Thank you for being an amazing mommy to our princess True. She is blessed to have someone like you to look up to.
“I wish you nothing but more success and sending you positive blessing your way. Enjoy your day Koko.”
Unsurprisingly, Khloe didn’t comment on the snap.
But it does feel quite familiar – how many of us have broken up with someone only for them to continue trying to make themselves part of our lives?
If Khloe is saying she’s happily single, that’s a cue to Tristan that she doesn’t want or need him right now.
We obviously don’t know what’s happening behind closed doors and how the pair gets along for the sake of their daughter, but Tristan, you’re not impressing anyone by pretending to be there for Khloe when in reality you run every chance you get.
On behalf of everyone who watches Keeping Up With the Kardashians – whether it be the loud and proud fans, or those of us who live for the drama in secret – Tristan please set an example for all the grubby exes out there and just leave Khloe alone. She seems perfectly happy without you.
