The Mandalorian's Baby Yoda Is The Gift That Keeps On Giving With These Memes

"Crying because I'll never hold Baby Yoda's weird little green claw."

The Mandalorian quickly became one of my favourite shows of the year thanks to the inclusion of the adorable Baby Yoda.

I love Baby Yoda, I would do anything for him and I’m not the only one.

And now episode four of The Mandalorian has brought a delightful Baby Yoda meme to life and it’s perfect.

Some say the meme reminds them of Kermit the frog passive-aggressively minding his own business, while others think it reminds them of themselves.

Behold Baby Yoda drinking from a mug:

According to Vanity Fair, Werner Herzog, who stars in the show as The Client is responsible for saving the puppet version of Baby Yoda after seeing The Mandalorian creator and showrunner Jon Favreau and executive producer Dave Filoni removing the puppet from set to prepare to shoot a blank slate so they could add him in digitally if the puppet wasn’t convincing enough.

“You are cowards,” he declared. “Leave it.”

Seriously, how could anyone doubt the power of Baby Yoda?

Now, fans are getting upset about the lack of Baby Yoda merchandise with Favreau reportedly wanting to hold off on making any products in case the existence of the character was leaked early.

The Walt Disney company tells Vanity Fair there are plans to bring out more products in coming weeks, however, at the moment the only real official piece of merchandise is this T-shirt.

Hasbro also confirmed they will not have toys ready for Christmas and we’ll have to wait until 2020 before getting our hands on them.

However, creators on Etsy are already capitalising on the popularity of the character by making crocheted Baby Yoda, felt dolls as well as things like Christmas ornaments featuring the character, sweatshirts and much more.

Gina Carano, who stars in episode four of The Mandalorian told the publication Baby Yoda brings warmth to a show that focuses on a character who prides himself on his lack of feeling, “That just raises the emotional level and the stakes… The Mandalorian and that being’s relationship is really cool to watch.”

And it’s true, we now care so much more about the faceless Mandalorian because he cares so much about the little guy.

But seriously, if Baby Yoda doesn’t get to live happily ever after, I am rioting.
