Who Else Is In Hot Water After Ghislaine Maxwell’s Arrest?

She's facing multiple sex abuse charges involving underage girls.

Last week, Jeffrey Epstein’s former girlfriend and associate Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested and is facing multiple sex abuse charges involving underage girls. Hear all the details below:

According to FBI spokesman Marty Feely via ABC, Maxwell was taken into custody this Thursday morning. The Federal Bureau of Investigation had reportedly been monitoring her movements for some time while she had been living at a “gorgeous property in New Hampshire.”

Maxwell’s arrest has many wondering who else was involved in Epstein’s sex trafficking ring, and if she will name names.

Time reports that since Maxwell was taken into custody, US prosecutors said they would “welcome Prince Andrew coming in to talk to us.” Previously, the Duke of York had reportedly refused to cooperate with authorities and has denied any involvement with Maxwell and Epstein, despite being accused of having sex with a 17-year-old girl allegedly trafficked by the pair in 2001.

According to Fox News, sources close to Prince Andrew insist he has attempted to assist in the case. “The Duke’s team remains bewildered given that we have twice communicated with the DOJ (Department of Justice) in the last month, and to date, we have no response,” the source claimed.

Over the weekend, Rose McGowan tweeted a photo of Harvey Weinsein, Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell with red crosses over their faces and the caption, “Now get Bill Clinton and Prince Andrew.”

Former US president Bill Clinton has previously stated he never visited Epstein’s private ‘Pedophile Island’ in the Virgin Islands. However, an island worker claimed in the Netflix document Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich that he once saw Clinton on the porch area of Epstein’s villa home.

In an appearance on Tucker Carlson Tonight, Alana Goodman, the co-author of ‘A Convenient Death: The Mysterious Death of Jeffrey Epstein’ said, “I think that a lot of the friends of Jeffrey Epstein who were very relieved after he died are probably pretty terrified at the moment because I think that Ghislaine Maxwell has every incentive to talk in this situation.”

Speaking to Daily Mail, lawyer Spencer Kuvin said, “I don’t think she is going to get out of jail alive. I said the same thing about Jeffrey Epstein and people laughed at me.”

“I think she knows way too much information – I just have this gut feeling.”

Now she’s been arrested, we’re just going to have to wait and see what Ghislaine Maxwell says and who she exposes, if she decides play along and fess up.

What Does The Arrest Of Ghislaine Maxwell Mean For The Jeffrey Epstein Case?

Maxwell helped "recruit, groom and ultimately abuse victims."

It has been almost one year since convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was found dead behind bars. The former American socialite and financier reportedly took his own life while awaiting his trial on sex trafficking charges. Fast-forward to this week, and Epstein’s former girlfriend and longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell has also been arrested.

According to FBI spokesman Marty Feely via ABC, Maxwell was taken into custody this Thursday morning. The Federal Bureau of Investigation had reportedly been monitoring her movements for some time while she had been living at a “gorgeous property in New Hampshire.”

So, what does this mean for the case against Jeffrey Epstein?

Ghislaine Maxwell has been specifically charged with – conspiracy to entice minors to travel to engage in illegal sex acts, enticing a minor to travel to engage in illegal sex acts, conspiracy to transport minors with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity and transporting a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.

The indictment, via Bloomberg states Maxwell “assisted, facilitated, and contributed to Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse of minor girls, among other things, helping Epstein to recruit, groom and ultimately abuse victims known to Maxwell and Epstein to be under the age of 18.”

The recent Netflix documentary series Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich detailed the alleged abuse young women suffered at the hands of both Epstein and Maxwell. According to Entertainment Weekly, victim Sarah Ransom “just began sobbing on the phone” to documentary director Lisa Bryant following the news of Maxwell’s arrest.

“She was so relieved, so happy that the main co-conspirator had been arrested, someone she had direct and very negative interactions with,” Bryant told EW.

“I’d like to see her brought to trial,” she added. “Everyone is innocent until proven guilty. But all of our research and the women in the series that we spoke to, all their stories added up and they all mentioned Ghislaine’s involvement.”

In a statement via Bloomberg, survivor Jennifer Araoz said, “for years, I feared Epstein and his ring. Maxwell was at the centre of that sex trafficking ring. Now that the ring has been taken down, I know that I can’t be hurt anymore.”

Time reports that since the arrest of Ghislaine Maxwell, US prosecutors would “welcome Prince Andrew coming in to talk to us.” Previously, the Duke of York had reportedly refused to cooperate with authorities and has denied any involvement despite being accused of having sex with a 17-year-old girl trafficked by Epstein in 2001. Hear all the details about Prince Andrew below:

Because Jeffrey Epstein died before going to trial, many questions were left unanswered. Will Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial expose the realities of these heinous sex crimes, and who else might’ve been involved?

The Allegations Coming Out Of VIC's Hotel Quarantine Are Absolutely Wild

It's gone from bad to worse.

As COVID-19 continues to wreak havoc in Victoria with 73 new cases confirmed in the last 24 hours, questions around the root cause of the spike are emerging – particularly when it comes to security measures at hotel quarantine.

Speaking of the fight to flatten the curve, hear about life after lockdown below:

A Melbourne security guard – identified only as George – broke a gag order and recently appeared on the Today show. During his appearance he revealed he only received five minutes of training before working at one of the Victoria’s quarantine hotels.

“And that was the PPE and everything, the box and dice and then we were sent up to your level,” he said, as per The Australian. George also revealed that security guards were only given one face mask and one glove for an entire shift.

According to George, as well as minimal training the real issue is that security companies have been hiring subcontractors as they come much cheaper than guards. “Every hotel quarantine has subcontracting happening and that’s the way the companies are making money out of this,” he said.

To make matters worse, The Herald Sun recently reported that private security firms in Victoria have been charging taxpayers for hotel quarantine shifts that were never worked – and even claimed that guards were sleeping with guests, shaking hands and sharing lifts to move between rooms and play cards.

“If those statements are true, that would be completely and utterly unacceptable and we would encourage the Victorian authorities to throw the book at them if any of these individuals or the firms have behaved inappropriately,” Health Minister Greg Hunt told Sunrise.

An independent enquiry into Victoria’s hotel quarantine system has been announced. According to 7 News, it will investigate how contractors at several hotels became infectious and spread the virus to their close contacts.

Whether the hotel quarantine allegations are completely true or not, there has clearly been some sort of breach of rules judging by the worrying number of cases of COVID-19 in Victoria.
