The recent arrest of Jeffrey Epstein’s former girlfriend and longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell has opened a can of worms with each discovery more disturbing than the last. Just one week after unsealed documents revealed the extent of Maxwell’s alleged involvement in Epstein’s sex trafficking operation, further revelations about her relationship with the late financier are continuing to drop jaws.

In Lifetime’s new docuseries Surviving Jeffrey Epstein, British journalist and satirical songwriter Christopher Mason detailed his encounter with Epstein, and the bizarre ‘personalised musical toast’ Maxwell requested for his 40th birthday gift.
“Ghislaine was pretty specific and controlling,” Mason told Vanity Fair. “When I do those songs – and I still occasionally do them – my preferred way of doing it is to speak with as many people as I can so I can get a real idea of the person and as much comic information as possible. But Ghislaine was very clear that I wasn’t to speak to anyone else, that all the information was to come from Ghislaine.”
“She wanted me to mention that when Epstein was teaching at the Dalton School, he was the subject of many school girl crushes,” Mason revealed, adding that he thought it was “kind of an odd thing to want in a song about a man who appears to be your boyfriend.”
“But she clearly thought that was something that was going to amuse him,” he said. “Another odd thing that she wanted me to say was that he had 24-hour erections.”
Mason told Vanity Fair that Ghislaine Maxwell asked him to walk into Jeffrey Epstein’s black-tie 40th birthday dinner party, sit crossed legged on the floor and “deliver this song a capella.”

Mason said the song was met with “laughter, amusement, applause…. It seemed to have lots of good references that they were all guffawing over.” After performing, he said he “got up, said good night, and closed the door.”
Last week, unsealed court documents alleged that Ghislaine Maxwell had engaged in sexual relations with underage girls, and revealed the names of high profile men that were reportedly involved in Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s sex trafficking operation.
Ghislaine Maxwell has plead not guilty to several charges, including sex trafficking and the enticement of minors, and is currently being held in a Brooklyn jail pending trial. Almost exactly one year ago, Jeffrey Epstein reportedly committed suicide behind bars while awaiting his trial for sex trafficking.
