Pete Evans' Latest COVID-19 Rant Proves It's Time For Him To Log Off

The hole just keeps getting deeper.

Last week, controversial celebrity chef Pete Evans was axed from his TV job on My Kitchen Rules, but that hasn’t stopped him for posting yet another bizarre COVID-related rant to social media.

Hear about all the harmful coronavirus BS floating around below:

First, Evans shared a cryptic mind map for the ‘Great Awakening’ and ‘Great Solar Flash,’ which is described as “an already occurring Solar System-wide evolutionary event bringing about Spiritual Ascension and ideally an activation of our Light Body.”

If that wasn’t mind-boggling enough, Evans then shared a notice about “certain high profile people” having COVID-19 and the “code words” we should all “look out for.” The post suggests that ‘code words’ like “Self Quarantined” actually means people infected with the virus are “under house arrest either Federal agent guards or ankle bracelet,” and ‘Tested Negative for CV’ actually translates to “no confession so they are going to trial after worldwide mass arrest.”

According to reports, both posts are associated with QAnon, a far-right conspiracy theory detailing a secret plot against Trump and his supporters.

To really drive the message home, Evans then posted a meme of US President Donald Trump along with a lengthy caption, which began, “This may be a great time to take off the mainstream media lens, if that is what you have been viewing the world through, and perhaps look through a different lens…or not.”

“I have personally seen what the mainstream media have “attempted” to do with me over the years even when my only intention, has always been to encourage people to think and feel deeply and freely about the many pillars of health, including self love, and to question everything…even what I share,” he added.

“This is a very exciting time in human history and we can all manifest our own reality, or we can hand that over to others with their own agendas or conflicts of interests. Do you trust the ‘experts’?” he asked in the caption, before randomly adding, “What is #ObamaGate?”

Pete Evans’ peculiar social media posts come just one week after he was booted from his hosting gig on Seven’s My Kitchen Rules. Evans was axed from the show after he landed in hot water for flogging seriously dangerous COVID-19 conspiracy theories and dodgy cures

I think we can all agree that this controversial celebrity chef needs to take a break from social media, because the hole he’s digging just keeps getting deeper.

New NSW COVID-19 Heat Map Is A Reminder To Maintain Social Distancing

NSW residents can now check if they live in a COVID-19 hotspot.

This week, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced that as we continue to flatten the COVID-19 curve, certain social restrictions in the state will begin to relax. However, a new COVID-19 heat map may stop NSW residents from breaking social distancing rules.

As of today, up to two adults and their dependent children will be allowed to visit another household. Face-to-face teaching is set to return from May 11th, and there may be increased retail activity, with some businesses choosing to re-open.

Despite the slight easing of social restrictions, Berejiklian has warned residents that they still need to maintain safe social distancing, be “extra vigilant” with those aged over 70 or “those with underlying health conditions.”

“It is also important to remember that you do not visit anyone if you or they are unwell, even if you have milk symptoms like fatigue or a scratchy throat,” she said.

This morning, Gladys Berejiklian reiterated the rules, and announced the release of an interactive heat map that displays COVID-19 hotspots by postcode in NSW.

The tool allows users to enter their postcode or suburb, adjust the date range and view hotspots by number of confirmed cases or tests.

While certain areas, including Glenfield, Claymore and Strathfield South are reporting zero cases, the map also shows that areas including Mosman, Cambridge Park and Constitution Hill still have between 40-49 cases of COVID-19, and Bondi has over 50 cases.

The heat map is a clear reminder that although social restrictions are easing in NSW, and other parts of Australia, we still need to maintain a safe distance and keep those that are at risk front of mind.

Today, the Department of Health reported that there are 6,762 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Australia. Of those cases, 92 Australians have died and 5,720 have been reported as recovered from COVID-19.

Hear about the creative ways people are staying connected during the pandemic below:

Since yesterday, there have been 16 newly confirmed cases. More than 570,000 tests have been conducted across Australia.

Let’s continue to flatten that curve together, stay safe and save lives.

The List Of Elon Musk's Dangerous COVID-19 Comments Is Never-Ending

"FREE AMERICA NOW"

Elon Musk might be at the forefront of software, space exploration and electric cars, but he’s on the back foot when it comes to COVID-19. In fact, his comments about the novel coronavirus are becoming increasingly dangerous.

In late January, Musk took to Twitter to tell his 33.4M followers that “there is considerable conflation of diagnosis and contraction of ‘corona.’”

“Actual virality is much lower than it would seem. I think this will turn out to be comparable to other forms of influenza. World War Z it is not,” he added.

Perhaps Musk didn’t fully understand what was to come in the following months, but his remarks only became more harmful.

In early March he simply tweeted, “the coronavirus panic is dumb,” and the same month he said suggested it “maybe worth considering chloroquine” for the treatment of COVID-19. According to The Verge, the paper touting the benefits of chloroquine Musk promoted has been so widely discredited, “both Twitter and Google Docs refused to host it.”

U.S. President Donald Trump made the same claim and it resulted in the death of an Arizona man

Over the last month, Musk has also attributed the growing numbers of fatalities in Italy to causes other than COVID-19 and even predicted the US would have zero cases by the end of April.

Perhaps the cherry on top of an already very concerning cake is Elon Musk’s most recent Tweet, proclaiming to his millions of followers, “FREE AMERICA NOW.”

Musk’s call for freedom comes after dozens of protests across America calling for a lift of strict social restrictions.

As of the 30th of April, there have been over one million confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the United States. Over 60,000 people have tragically lost their lives to the coronavirus.

Hear about all the ridiculous COVID-19 ‘cures’ and ’causes’ floating around the web below:

Understanding the power of your voice and your platform is more important than ever, and Musk’s comments carry so much more weight and harm that he realises.

It’s pretty simple: listen to the medical experts and stay safe.
