Jerk Of The Day: This Guy Who Sent His GF A List Of 'Rules' Then Cheated On Her Anyway

Ring the alarm bells.

According to Merriam-Webster, ‘double standards’ can be defined as “a set of principles that applies differently and usually more rigorously to one group of people or circumstances than to another.” It’s a definition that Twitter user Zoe Scholefield’s ex-boyfriend could use, after he sent her a list of ‘relationship rules’ before cheating on her anyway.

Schoefield, who lives in the UK, recently tweeted a screenshot of a text conversation between her and her ex-boyfriend which has been liked over 35,000 times, on account of it being beyond batsh*t crazy.

The list of numbered rules includes demands like, “always send me photos of front and back of what you are wearing so I can approve it,” and to send a “video of room before you sleep to prove no one else is there.”

Schoefield captioned the post, “funny how my ex sent me stuff like this then has the audacity to cheat on me.”

Twitter users were quick to flock to the comments section of Schoefield’s post to express their shock and concern, and some even shared their personal experiences of being in controlling and toxic relationships.

One user responded to Schoefield’s tweet, “It’s paranoia. He thinks you’re going to do what he did to you, so he tries to control you. Used to have a mate that did that to his ex,” which was liked over 800 times.

Interestingly, one of his ‘relationship rules’ was “if you find time to call me or FaceTime me let me know in advance,” which sounds like a clear indication of his shady behaviour behind the scenes.

While Schoefield is yet to respond to the comments on her post, it appears that she has successfully managed to get out of this truly horrifying relationship. Amen to that, because this type of behaviour is NOT okay.
