Dance Boss Is The Wholesome Reality TV Content You Need In Your Life If You Like Flashy Performances And That Hot Guy From Coyote Ugly

Is this self-care?

If you rely on the mindless entertainment television provides to wind you down at the end of the day then you are far from alone. Life can be hard and TV has healing powers.

But finding the right content to help you destress is like an art form.

Somewhere in between the indulgent trashiness of reality dating shows and the trauma porn of most TV dramas is Channel 7’s new show Dance Boss.

The competition invites teams from different Aussie workplaces to train with professional choreographers and put on the most insanely extra dance performances fit with costumes, staging and mad levels of sass.

It’s flashy and it’s wholesome and honestly it’s the content you need in your life.

Aussie icon Dannii Minogue hosts the show while the performances are judged by a panel that includes Home and Away veteran Sharni Vinson, Timomatic, who rose to fame on So You Think You Can Dance, and of course, Adam Garcia, the hottie who stole our hearts in Coyote Ugly.

Never forget.

There are zookeepers and ambulance paramedics and Macca’s workers and teams from occupations all over the place getting their groove on to highlight the importance of making time outside your working life for the things you love.

Inspiring stuff. Self care via dance. Things that aren’t work. Here for it all.

Also there’s a $100k prize for the winning team so the stakes are high and the performances get elaborate.

The major plot twist is that the contestants are all wildly good at dancing??? Like, WOW. Those “Marketing Guys” can seriously bust a move.

The opening number sees office-bound public servants strip down for a dominatrix-esque performance to Britney Spears, which is reason enough to watch honestly.

Dance Boss is on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:30 on Channel 7 kicking off tonight so book yourself in for some official me time.
