There are few things that can shock us anymore, because we are seemingly so desensitised to the darkness of the world we live in, but this recent press conference has cut through the noise and forced us all to stand up and start paying attention again. Donald Trump, the current President of the United States, sent alleged sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell “well wishes” in front of the entire world.
To bring you up to speed on Ghislaine Maxwell – she was friends with convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein. After years in hiding, she has been arrested and faces up to 35 years jail time for her alleged involvement in Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking underaged girls. In her first court appearance, she plead ‘not guilty’.

Ghislaine Maxwell is expected to reveal some big names that were involved in Epstein’s sex trafficking ring in her testimony, including Donald Trump, who is a long-time friend of hers.
In an appearance on Tucker Carlson Tonight, Alana Goodman, the co-author of ‘A Convenient Death: The Mysterious Death of Jeffrey Epstein’ said, “I think that Ghislaine Maxwell has every incentive to talk in this situation.”
Trump’s most recent press conference is so disturbing, because you can tell that he is being very careful with his wording – which he’s not exactly known to be. The reporter presses Trump to reveal how he feels about Ghislaine Maxwell’s arrest and the rumours that she is expected to hang everyone out to dry.
Trump says, “I haven’t really been following it too much – I just wish her well, frankly.” He goes on to say, “I’ve met her numerous times over the years, especially since I lived in Palm Beach, and I guess they lived in Palm Beach… uh, but I wish her well, whatever it is. I don’t know the situation with Prince Andrew, just don’t know – not aware of it.”
Aside from the disturbing image of the President of the United States wishing Ghislaine Maxwell well, and allegedly being linked to those crimes too – we can take solace in the proof and fact-checking available to debunk the claim that he’s not aware of the situation with Prince Andrew.
One Twitter user shared a reminder of Donald Trump saying that “the island was an absolute cesspool” – referring to Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘Pedophile Island’. He then says, “just ask Prince Andrew about it.”
