It’s no secret that Donald Trump is nothing more than a giant orange baby who chucks massive tantrums on Twitter whenever something doesn’t go his way. It’s sadly become something of a norm for Trump to spit the dummy on the daily, yet he somehow managed to outdo himself this time following Twitter’s decision to fact-check him for the first time.
I know, finally, right?

After literally years of letting countless false claims, harmful advice, misleading content, ridiculous conspiracies that have been debunked or have no basis in truth, and outright lies slide on their platform, Twitter finally had enough of Donald Trump’s nonsense and has started fact-checking the Cheeto-in-Command’s dodgy tweets.
The social media giant added fact-check labels on two of Cadet Bone Spurs‘ tweets falsely claiming that mail-in ballots will result in voter fraud. A Twitter spokesperson told The Washington Post that Trump’s tweets “contain potentially misleading information about voting processes and have been labelled to provide additional context around mail-in ballots.”
This whole fact-checking thing didn’t go down well with the giant orange baby, who doesn’t like being called out on his lies, and he responded by chucking an almighty tantrum about Twitter (on Twitter ironically enough), how it’s interfering with the 2020 election (which is a lie) how it’s “stifling” free speech (which is also a lie and not how free speech works in America).
It’s a unhinged tanty even for Trump’s manic standards. At least he didn’t have a typo in it this time, unlike many of his other tweets.
This was subsequently followed by more crazy tweets aimed at The New York Times and The Atlantic, two publications that aren’t shy in calling Trump out on his BS, and gloating over how the latter is having to cut staff during the pandemic.
In case you haven’t noticed, Trump is indeed a massive arsehole.
After years of letting Trump’s lying tweets slide based on the rationale that he’s a world leader and therefore his tweets are considered newsworthy, why the sudden change of heart from Twitter?
Well according to ABC News, apparently this is part of the company’s new “misleading information” policy aimed at combating lies and false claims about COVID-19. As for how why Trump’s lying election tweets were singled out, a Twitter spokesperson says it’s because those were related to election integrity.
Okay fair, elections are important for democracy and having Trump messing around with that is bad. But how does Twitter justify F**kface Von Clownstick‘s other lying tweets, like the ones fueling some stupid murder conspiracy theory?
Unsurprisingly, Twitter has stayed silent on that front.
But hey, at least Twitter is finally doing something about Trump’s lying tweets. It’s certainly better than the “do absolutely nothing” approach Twitter has been using over the last few years.
If Drumpf is this mad over being finally called out for lying about election fraud, imagine the tanty he’ll chuck should he lose the 2020 election. One imagines he’ll be dragged kicking and screaming from the White House like a toddler.
