Ooh Boy, Dennis Rodman Is Being Touted As The Next Leader Of North Korea

Kim Jong-un is reportedly in "grave danger" after heart surgery.

Because the world hasn’t seen enough major news over the last few months, reports are coming out that the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-un is in “grave danger” after heart surgery. If these reports about his condition are true, and Kim Jong-un passes away, who takes over as the Leader of North Korea? The Internet has come up with an idea: Dennis Rodman.

Dennis Rodman is a retired NBA player who has a long history of making some pretty wild headlines. Over the last few years he’s tried his hand at acting in action movies, announced that he was going to marry himself, and has become close friends with Kim Jong-un. It’s that last one which is important here.

In even more weird 2020 news, PornHub has made itself a coronavirus clone. Let the GOAT Team take you through it…

Kim Jong-un is a diehard basketball fan, and has a particular love for the Chicago Bulls – one of Dennis Rodman’s teams. Kim Jong-un invited Rodman to Pyongyang in 2013, and after their meeting Rodman was heard telling Kim Jong-un “you have a friend for life.”

The Internet never forgets. Fast-forward to today, and that quote has been dug up and used as satirical “proof” that the next Supreme Leader of North Korea will be none other than Dennis Rodman himself.

In reality, the line of succession is murky. There is no obvious successor to Kim Jong-un right now, and if he does pass away then North Korea could find itself staring down a very intense power vacuum. Kim Jong-un’s sister, Kim Yo-jong, is a likely candidate to take over, but we won’t know for sure until the day comes.

Or, we could listen to the Internet and put a retired NBA star in charge. It’s 2020 after all, and rules don’t seem to apply to this year.
