Sounds Like COVID-19 Isolation Is Taking A Toll On Gwyneth Paltrow's Sex Life

Join the club, Gwynny.

After going through her own COVID-19 isolation in her usual tone-deaf way so far, it appears that no amount of Goop products or vagina-scented candles can help Gwyneth Paltrow overcome a very common problem us “normal” people experience: her waning sex life with her husband Brad Falchuk.

Speaking of COVID-19 isolation, maybe Gwyneth Paltrow should take a listen to the GOAT team talking about the importance of maintaining connections on ‘It’s Been A Big Day For…’ below:

Appearing in a Goop video titled “How Do You Find Intimacy In These Uncertain Times,” Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuck enlist the help of intimacy coach Michaela Boehm to help solve their heavily-implied non-existent COVID-19 isolation sex life.

Gwyneth says that while she and brad are “lucky” they “have a really solid relationship”, she admits that COVID-19 isolation means the couple are “also in the house with the kids, and it’s pretty close quarters.”

She then says “there’s definitely tensions within the household,” especially since her kids are all teenagers, before subtly asking how they can fix their little “intimacy” problem when the whole family are “all in the house and you’ve got dogs, and work, and work from home.” But the best bit was when Gwynny asked Michaela what to do to fix a feeling of being non-sexual due to the COVID-19 pandemic for “a friend.”

Sure, Gwyneth, a “friend.”

As for her advice in trying to solve Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk’s little COVID-19 isolation sex life problem (or their “friend’s” problem I should say), Michaela was fill of wise nuggets of wisdom.

There was a bit on how woman may not feel like having sex right now because “the female body when put under stress goes into survival mode,” how woman are opting for “food, comfort and eating sweets to up the body fat,” how “opening to pleasure leads to all others sorts of emotions,” and how it is “fairly normal for women to have emotional response in the context of sexual pleasure and orgasm, crying, even anger things like that.”

Interesting advice there, Michaela. Not sure how the “pleasure course” at the end really fits into it all or the scientific basis on how said course will cleanse your pores of “built up trauma” while activating our “native self-cleaning mechanism.” Guess that’s why she’s the intimacy coach.

The whole Goop video involving Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk talking about their sex life in hushed tones is, uh, quite an experience but sadly doesn’t feature any talk about using vagina-scented candles in the bedroom. Feel free to watch it here but don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Joking aside, Gwyneth Paltrow’s problem with her sex life during COVID-19 isolation is an actual thing and it isn’t something that can be cured with a vibrator she gave herself for Christmas. As for how she can fix her intimacy issues with Brad, well I’m certainly the wrong person to ask as I’m single AF and it’s going to stay that way for quite a while.

But hey, at least Gwynny actively sought out a way to fix her problem instead of plastering over it by singing a cover of John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ or something.
