There are few things that make our blood boil, but incorrectly preparing food, which should be extremely easy, is one of them. Introducing Michelle, an American woman living in the UK who is going viral for all the wrong reasons.
While Michelle’s TikTok is full of wholesome family moments, dance tutorials and comedy skits, the videos that capture our attention the most are her American cooking videos of British food. There have been a number of instances where this content creator has incorrectly made easy British foods, to the point where we have to ask, is this a joke?

Let’s kick things off with her British beans on toast tutorial. Michelle gleefully takes her viewers through a step-by-step process which is, high key, very stressful. She says, “So, the first step is, you want to get your piece of bread, then want to add the beans, I’m just going to pour mine on there, juice and all.” First red flag, but let’s keep going.
“Next you’re going to get your cheese, put it on top of your beans, then you want to put it in the microwave.” Sorry, did she say, microwave? “And that’s how you make beans on toast.” What?! To say that we were concerned, is an understatement. Why did she pour the tin onto the moist bread? Where was the toaster? Why was a microwave even in this video? But, this isn’t the only time that Michelle has made food so incorrectly it hurts us inside. For this instance, Michelle makes us “hot tea.” Now, we know what you’re thinking, how on earth can anyone screw up making hot tea? It’s impossible. Boy, would you be wrong.
Michelle takes us through it, “So fill our mug with water.” We mean, already we see a major error, the lack of a kettle is deeply disturbing, but let’s move on. “Put it in the microwave, set it for a minute” What? A microwave? Can you hear that? That’s our stomachs churning.
“Pour the milk in.” Great, so we’ve got a nice hot cup of a water-milk hybrid with no tea in sight, this is going swimmingly. “Drop your tea-bag in, add the sugar, give it a little stir and that’s how you make hot tea.” Sorry, we can’t do this anymore. We can’t. We’re done. Watch it if you dare.
