Of Course The Internet’s BF Keanu Reeves Refused To Yell At Winona Ryder

We must protect him at all costs.

Two words that are guaranteed to put a smile on your dial: Keanu Reeves. The Internet’s unofficial long-term boyfriend has proven (once again) that he can do no wrong after Winona Ryder’s comments about working with Keanu Reeves on the 1992 film Dracula.

In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Ryder revealed that while filming alongside Reeves, director Francis Ford Coppola asked him to yell at her but he refused.

“To put it in context I’m supposed to be crying,” she said. “Literally, Richard E. Grant, Anthony Hopkins, Keanu…Francis was trying to get all of them to yell things that would make me cry, but Keanu wouldn’t, Anthony wouldn’t…It just didn’t work.”

“I was, like, really? It kind of did the opposite,” she said. Reeves’ decision not to yell at Ryder on-set not only stopped her from crying, but reportedly led to a lifelong friendship between the pair.

Both actors have a mutual appreciation for one another, with Reeves telling People in 2018, “Winona is a lovely person and a talented actress.”

Speaking about their film Destination Wedding, Reeves said, “I think we make a good couple, and I like that it’s a two-hander. To them, nobody else matters, anyway, right? We did something like five eight-minute scenes, which you don’t often get a chance to do in films.”

Speaking of films, hear about how post-pandemic sex scenes will be filmed below:

The impression Reeves left on Ryder is by no means the first time the actor has charmed the pants off his co-stars – or the rest of the world, for that matter.

Last year, Twitter users noticed that Reeves respectfully keeps his hands off women when taking photos with them.

The same year, Reeves was involved in an emergency plane landing in Bakersfield, California so he took stranded passengers on a road trip to their LA destination. He reportedly played music and shared interesting Bakersfield facts along the way.

And far earlier than that – in 2015 – a fan filmed Reeves graciously giving up his subway seat to a fellow passenger who was carrying a heavy bag.

Keanu Reeves really is a blessing to us all and we should protect him at all costs.
