Naomi Osaka's Response To 'Creepy' Comments On Her Bikini Pics Is Gold

What a winner.

Body shaming is never on and if you decide to go after someone as unashamedly vocal as tennis superstar Naomi Osaka by commenting on her bikini pics, well you had better brace yourselves for an ace of a clapback.

Speaking of creepy, the GOAT team talk about some of Australia’s most infamous urban legends on ‘It’s Been A Big Day For…’ below:

This round of internet critics chiming in on something which no one asked them too began when Naomi Osaka shared a photo of herself hanging out beside a pool while wearing a bikini along with the caption, “Welp mornin’ to you I guess.”

It’s summer where she is so ’tis the season to be rocking swimsuits next to the pool.

The internet being what it is, some folks decided to comment on Naomi’s bikini pics and while there were many positive comments, there were also the usual negative ones about Osaka’s body and what not.

But perhaps the most bizarre comments were those saying how the tennis ace shouldn’t be posting bikini pics because it *checks notes* ruins her “innocent” image. Uh what?

Unsurprisingly, Naomi Osaka wasn’t too pleased with some of these comments about her bikini, her body, and “innocent” image so she went on Twitter to give critics a piece of her mind.

Talk about the perfect response. If the Tokyo Olympics were still on, Naomi would get a gold medal for that tweet alone.

A bikini is a bikini, there’s nothing “innocent” or whatever about it. It’s a bloody swimsuit and people wear them while at the pool during summer. And Naomi’s also got a very good point: she’s 22 and an adult so why do randoms feel like they can tell her what she can and can’t wear since they don’t even know who she is.

So not only has Naomi Osaka proved that she’s a winner on and off the tennis court, her bikini comments show that she’s an ace on handling critics on social media as well.

Ellen DeGeneres Responds To Toxic Workplace Claims By Shifting The Blame

So much for being kind.

After a tsunami of bombshells that include screwing over staff during the COVID-19 lockdown, getting called out by people for being awful, getting called out for her response to the Black Lives Matters protests, and allegations of a toxic workplace environment filled with racism and intimidation, Ellen DeGeneres has finally spoken out about some of these things.

And to be honest, it’s not the best response that’s ever been given.

Speaking of Ellen DeGeneres and those toxic workplace allegations, the GOAT team talk about the mess she’s in on ‘It’s Been A Big Day For…’ below;

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ellen has issued out a letter to the staff of The Ellen DeGeneres Show that addresses the toxic workplace environment allegations.

The letter starts off pretty promisingly as Ellen acknowledges the irony of a show she calls “a place of happiness” being at the centre of such wild claims and states that she takes responsibility insofar that the show bears her name.

After thanking her staff for making The Ellen DeGeneres Show as big as it is, things go downhill pretty quickly as the TV host starts pointing fingers at people, saying: “As we’ve grown exponentially, I’ve not been able to stay on top of everything and relied on others to do their jobs as they knew I’d want them done. Clearly some didn’t. That will now change and I’m committed to ensuring this does not happen again.”

Yeeahhh, that one was bad.

Hmmm, those sound like the words of someone who is only sorry because they got caught.

Anyway, Ellen then goes on to express her “deep compassion” for all those who were “looked at differently” and “treated unfairly, not equal, or – worse – disregarded” by reminding everyone of her own struggles “as someone who was judged and nearly lost everything for just being who I am.”

She then concludes her letter by saying conversations are finally being had about “fairness and justice,” and how everyone has to “be more mindful about the way our words and actions affect others” before stating that changes will be made to The Ellen DeGeneres Show in light of all these toxic workplace allegations.

So all in all, it’s a pretty Ellen-esque response that we’ve come to expect from her: sorta but not really taking responsibility and trying to shift the blame. You can read the entire letter here.

For someone who’s been in the business for so long, you’d think that Ellen DeGeneres would have some idea that her conduct at the top of a thing like her TV show has a trickle-down effect on everyone who works for her and the responsibility of managing a “place of happiness” rather than a toxic workplace ultimately falls on her and not just because her name is on the show.

As for what’s next for the show, The Hollywood Reporter and Variety report that a number of executive producers at the centre of the nastier allegations will be let go.

So will this ultimately have an effect? Well we’ll just have to wait and see whether Ellen’s awful year gets better or continues on its downhill trajectory.

Bet You Didn't Realise These Celebrities Are Trump Supporters

This is yuge.

Despite being an absolutely awful human being who is bringing America to its knees with his incompetence and outlandish beliefs, Donald Trump somehow still commands a sizable base of supporters, many of whom are some pretty famous celebrities.

With the 2020 U.S. presidential election increasingly becoming a crucial turning point in American history, we thought now’s the time to shine a light on some of the biggest celebrity Trump supporters so you know who is on the side of common sense and who is with the big orange baby.

Speaking on Trump being a big orange baby, the GOAT team talk about his tone-deaf photo op during the Black Lives Matters protests on ‘It’s Been A Big Day For…’ below:

Stacey Dash

Yep, the Clueless star is a gun-toting, unashamed Trump supporter who does her best to sprout the big orange baby’s offensive rhetoric at every change she gets. We probably shouldn’t be too surprised given how we’ve known for a while that Stacey Dash is a pretty problematic person.

Mike Tyson

The former boxing champion famously endorsed Trump for president back in 2015 despite F***face von Clownstick’s anti-Muslim rhetoric (Tyson is a Muslim), saying how it was time for America to be run by a businessman.

Tyson probably meant an actual businessman and not a fake-tan covered con-man who has bankrupted everything he’s touched.

Dennis Rodman

Having been pals with Trump for years leading up to Combover Caligula’s presidency, it was sort of a given that he’s an avid supporter of the big orange baby.

One has to wonder what Rodman thinks now given all that’s happened since and how he’s somehow the third wheel in a bizarre Trump/Kim Jong-un/Rodman tripod.

Speaking of Dennis Rodman, the GOAT team talk about the Netflix Michael Jordan doco ‘The Last Dance’ on ‘It’s Been A Big Day For…’ below:

Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan and Trump have a bit of a past stemming from their involvement in the pro wrestling scene. When asked by TMZ in 2015 which Republican presidential candidate he wants to wrestle in the ring, Hogan says he’d rather be Cadet Bone-Spurs’ running mate. Famous last words, champ.

Tom Brady

The NFL star wasn’t shy in telling everyone how he and Trump were mates back in 2015 and was seen wearing one of those gnarly MAGA caps from time to time. Although he has since walked back on his pro-Trump stance after Drumpf won the 2016 election, one has to wonder if his wife Gisele Bündchen played a big part in swaying his mind since she’s an immigrant and we all know what the big orange baby thinks of them.

Hailey Bieber’s Dad (aka Stephen Baldwin)

The Baldwins aren’t exactly the most pleasant bunch of people but Stephen Baldwin Hailey Bieber’s dad is definitely the worst one as not only does he have a long-standing relationship with Trumplethinskin stemming back from the Celebrity Apprentice days, he actively told Christian voters to ignore the Cheeto’s gross “grab them by the pussy” comments because he thinks the big orange baby is “really fun” and a “family guy.”

Again, the worst Baldwin by far.

Speaking of Hailey Bieber, the GOAT team dives into her marriage with Justin Bieber on ‘It’s Been A Big Day For…’ below:

Conor McGregor

Perhaps the Irish MMA star should let his fighting do all the talking because literally everything else he does is rubbish and/or a waste of everyone’s time. Case in point: he tweeted his support of the Raging Tangerine in 2020, calling him a “phenomenal president.”

Stick to fighting, champ, because that’s all you’re really good at.

Azealia Banks

Like Azealia Banks herself, the rapper’s support for the Cheeto-In-Chief is like a rollercoaster as she repeatedly endorsed him, regretted it, and then endorsed him again. Seriously, this is next level vicious circle stuff:

The amount of flip-flopping she’s done is enough to give someone whiplash and it’s actually hard to pinpoint whether she belongs on this list of celebrity Trump supporters at this point. Then again, this is Azealia Banks we’re talking about so we should’ve expected this sort of chaos from her.
