Maybe Don't Tell People They Should Get Coronavirus, Vanessa Hudgens

Guess this is what happens when publicists are in lockdown.

People around the world are in self-isolation due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and some haven’t taken to the lockdown quite as well as others. Case in point: Vanessa Hudgens thought it was a good idea to get herself cancelled by going on Instagram and telling people they should get coronavirus.

Speaking of the coronavirus, the GOAT team talk about going into quarantine due to the disease on ‘It’s Been A Big Day For…’ below:

Proving that live-streaming isn’t a good idea when you’re going a bit stir crazy due to the lockdown since there’s no publicist around to stop you from saying dumb shit, Vanessa Hudgens took to her Instagram and proceeded to tell everyone that they should get coronavirus since *checks transcript* “people are gonna die, which is terrible, but like, inevitable.”

In defence of Vanessa, she does say “but like, it’s a virus, I get it, I respect it.” Yeah okay, there’s no defending her in this. Her whole rant was just pure ignorance.

The only part of Vanessa Hudgens’ Instagram coronavirus death speech everyone can agree on is when she says “maybe I shouldn’t be doing this right now.” Yeah, you really shouldn’t.

Needless to say that this wild Instagram video from Vanessa Hudgens caused a heap of people to call her out for her cooked coronavirus comments, especially during a sensitive time like this, all while marveling how it is possible to get yourself cancelled while in lockdown.

Now we’re not sure what exactly prompted her to say what she did. Perhaps it was the cancellation of Coachella, or maybe it was the cancellation of the Formula 1 season opening race at the last minute. Hell, she could’ve just been super bored due to social distancing (which everyone should definitely be practicing). Whatever it is, it doesn’t excuse her comments.

In a follow up Instagram Story, Vanessa tried to wave off her comments by saying it was taken “out of context”, which makes one wonder what possible context where “everyone should get coronavirus” is okay.

Unsurprisingly, this “explanation” also didn’t go down well and Vanessa quickly followed it up by playing the classic “apology written in the Notes app” card, presumably after her publicist frantically messaged her on Instagram and told her to immediately apologise.

You’re far from the only one who is going a bit stir crazy while in self-isolation due to the coronavirus, Vanessa Hudgens. If you’re so bored, maybe think about things like Netflix, video games or even the WWE before live streaming on Instagram and cancelling your career with some cooked rant about how everyone should get the disease.
