Lady Gaga's Fast Food Cravings Made Her Run Off With A $40M Necklace

Always Remember Necklace This Way.

Over the past decade, Lady Gaga has become somewhat of a fashion icon. When she’s not breaking the internet by asking Twitter what ‘Fortnite’ is, she’s making strides in the fashion world with her meat dress, bubble dress, and many, many other dresses.

Speaking of Lady Gaga, we spoke about ‘ARTPOP’ on this episode of It’s Been A Big Day For…

As a result, Lady Gaga is often sought out by designers to wear their clothes and accessories. One company that reached out to Lady Gaga recently was Tiffany & Co who offered the ‘Rain On Me’ singer a necklace worth over AU $40 million for the Oscars. Why was it worth so much? Gaga explained it all on Graham Norton’s show over the weekend.

Gaga opened up about the iconic fashion piece saying, “So, that diamond was in a necklace that Audrey wore for press for Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The diamond was put into a different setting and… they offered it to me to wear at the Oscars and I was… you know… the street kid in me from New York was like ‘Hell yeah, I’m gonna wear that big thing.’”

And wear it, she did.

Lady Gaga detailed how, on the night, she felt like she was the President given how much extra security was constantly surrounding her. She said, “I already thought I had too much security before I put that diamond on, then I put that diamond on and I was like ‘Am I the President?’ I didn’t really know what was going on. I didn’t know what was going to happen that night. I was just so happy to be there.”

Then, Lady Gaga explained the incident, “My sister was my date and (we) were really barrelling through the champagne backstage and I just leave… I leave with the diamond on. I didn’t tell anyone, like, I just left.”

You can probably assume what happened next, Lady Gaga continued her story saying, “Tiffany started freaking out, they were like, ‘She’s gone! She left with the diamond!’” Having said that, the diamond arrived safely back in Tiffany & Co’s arms, Lady Gaga explained, “I really wanted to go to Taco Bell, so we were trying to go to Taco Bell and all of a sudden the car got pulled over by Tiffany’s security and it was, very politely, removed from my neck.”

Watch the full video here, where Lady Gaga also discusses partying with Madonna at her managers house and how the security were acting there.

Honestly, fast-food cravings really do take over your life completely, hey? For more on Lady Gaga that isn’t necklace related, we spoke about her ‘Poker Face’ prank on all of us here.
