Justin And Hailey Bieber Are Talking Marriage Again, And They’re Not Exactly Selling It

"I wish I hadn't done this."

It’s been less than two years since Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin tied the knot, and while their adorable Instagram posts and love songs make it sound like bliss – their recent comments on marriage aren’t exactly selling it. Get all the tea below:

During a recent episode of their Facebook Watch series The Biebers on Watch, the couple was asked if they had any regrets, and neither Justin or Hailey held back.

Bieber said there are “probably a lot of things I would change,” but added “I don’t regret anything because I think it makes you who you are and you learn from things. If I could go back and not have to face some of the bad hurt that I went through I probably would’ve saved myself for marriage.”

Hear that? It’s Selena Gomez hitting ‘block’ on Instagram.

While Hailey agreed with her husband’s views on sex before marriage, she said “I don’t know if I’d say the same, but we had different experiences with everything.”

Considering both Justin and Hailey Bieber are proud Christians, it’s really no surprise he wishes he had ‘saved’ himself for marriage – but it’s some of their other recent comments that are slightly concerning.

During a YouTube interview with Hillsong church, Hailey said, “What I learned being married is that every mistake that I made and bad decision that I made and everything that I was making myself feel guilty for lead to me being married and me being a wife.”

“But I think in the beginning, especially for the first six or seven months of being married, I was just ridden with guilt,” she revealed. “I wish I hadn’t done this. I wish I had just walked into this clean and free and clean slate but what it taught me is that it’s just A, not realistic, and B, we all have guilt and we all shame for things we’ve done but it doesn’t have to define who we are, and it didn’t have to define me in my relationship.”

Then, in another episode of The Biebers on Watch from earlier this month, Hailey said “before we got together I had a lot of doubt.”

She explained that their mutual friends “would tell me that you were really working on yourself and doing really well. They were really impressed with how you were living your life and trying to keep to yourself. You weren’t on any f*ck boy shit anymore.”

Bieber added, “There was a lot of forgiveness that you needed to have towards me. And vice versa. We both had made mistakes.”

Unfortunately, it’s not the first time the Biebers have seemingly tried to convince themselves this whole marriage thing was a good idea.

In a lengthy Instagram statement from 2019, Bieber explained some of the struggles he’s experienced in the spotlight and implied that marriage, “an amazing crazy new responsibility” was teaching him “to be a good man.”

Look – there’s no denying that every marriage has its ups and downs, and perhaps the Biebers are in a better place now, but it does not sound like it has been smooth sailing for the young couple
