This YouTube feud will never end, will it?
Approximately this time last week, we got a new instalment of the James Charles, Jeffree Star, Tati Westbrook and Shane Dawson feud, as the video titled “BREAKING MY SILENCE…” was uploaded to YouTube. In the video, Tati Westbrook essentially takes back her original video against James Charles and throws Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star under the bus.

When that video went viral, we got one reactive response from Shane Dawson as he went on Instagram live for a few minutes before abruptly ending it. As you can probably expect, we’ve been patiently waiting for all of them to release their side of the story. And now, James Charles has. Kind of.
In a video that came out on YouTube on Tuesday, James Charles finally addressed the sticky situation, but ultimately he wants to stay out of it. The video, uploaded by ‘Celebrity Livin’ depicts a Los Angeles paparazzi person finding James Charles on the street and asking him an array of questions. While the pap asked about James Charles’ singing career, upcoming videos and Kanye West, all ears perked up once he mentioned the beauty-drama.
“So there’s a lot of drama going on in the makeup YouTube community,” the paparazzi says to James. James Charles, perhaps obviously replies with a simple, “As always.” Oh no James, we’re not done yet. The paparazzi continues to pester which provokes James to say, “I’m just staying out of it, minding my own business. I just moved into a beautiful new house. I have great friends around me. Waiting for my nice food on a Sunday afternoon.”
The paparazzi then asks about Shane Dawson and then immediately James Charles responds, saying: “I don’t want to talk about anything in relation to him.” But, again, the paparazzi continues to pester and asks if he should be forgiven for all the problematic videos he’s made. James Charles replies, “I think it should always be looked at on a case by case basis and make sure that people are changing actively. That’s kind of what I’ve always believed in.”
And if you thought that would be the end of it, you’d be wrong. “Tati came out with a video and said that (Shane and Jeffree) were trying to gang up against you,” the paparazzi said to which James Charles replied, “I don’t really want to address anything regarding the drama… I hope you don’t mind.” Offt. Ultimately, this was the perfect platform for James Charles to have cleared the air, but he didn’t take the opportunity. We have to assume he’s gearing up to make a video of his own. Or perhaps he’s enjoying all the free publicity that comes when you’re being spoken about. Who knows? Only time will tell…
