Even Egypt Has Had Enough Of Elon Musk's Out Of This World Ideas

"Mr. Musk, we are waiting for you."

If you’ve spent any time on Elon Musk’s Twitter lately, you’d be well aware that the SpaceX boss truly doesn’t give a hoot. However, some of his recent tweets have ruffled the feathers of Egypt – who are now on a mission to prove Musk wrong about one of his more controversial opinions.

Last week, Musk simply tweeted “aliens built the pyramids obv.” The cryptic comment was retweeted more than 87,000 times, copped over 26,000 comments and a whopping 548,000 likes.

It also didn’t take long for Egypt to cotton on to Musk’s claim and clap back with a friendly suggestion.

Egypt’s Minister of International Co-Operation Rania al-Mashat tweeted, “I follow your work with a lot of admiration. I invite you & Space X to explore the writings about how the pyramids were built and also to check out the tombs of the pyramid builders. Mr Musk, we are waiting for you @elonmusk.”

Egyptian archaeologist Zahi Hawass also responded to Musk’s tweet. “This is a response from Zahi Hawass to American billionaire Elon Musk, what you said about the pyramids is completely hallucination, the pyramids are built by Egyptians and I will tell you quickly the evidence,” he said in a video in Arabic, as per Egypt Today.

Hawass went on to explain that the pyramids feature inscriptions explaining the workmen and gangs who built them. He added that he wasn’t going to respond to Musk’s claims because they are “worthless” but “he discovered these false claims were everywhere” without being supported with any scientific evidence.

Speaking of Elon Musk, hear about his out of this world baby name below:

It’s really no surprise Musk is back on his BS with these otherworldly claims about the Egyptian pyramids. Last year, he landed in hot water after making controversial comments about the Thai cave rescue, and in the midst of the global pandemic, he’s posted some incredibly harmful tweets about COVID-19.

Perhaps Elon Musk should take that trip to Egypt, see the pyramids and eat his Tweets for dinner.
