2020 Is Off To A Great Start Coz Unborn Babies Are Now IG Influencers

Sorry, what?

If you thought 2020 was going to offer some relief from the endless gaffes and tone deaf blunders of social media influencers, think again. Insta famous kids can step aside because now unborn babies are making bank from the social media platform.

Beauty influencer Naturallytemi made headlines this week when she received a comment on her Instagram post from her unborn child. I repeat, her unborn child.

It all started when Naturallytemi, whose real name is Temitope Adesina, posted a photo of her growing baby bump spruiking Palmers massage lotion, amongst other products.

The comments section of the post was full of all the expected remarks like “beautiful” and “gorgeous queen,” but amongst them was one from Instagram user @naturallybabytemi.

“Mommy is that me?” the user asked. “@naturallybabytemi of course it’s you princess,” she responded.

I wasn’t the only one cringing over @naturallybabytemi’s Instagram presence. Social media users have taken to Twitter to express their concern, including one who tweeted what we’re all thinking: “everyday we get closer to a Black Mirror episode.”

Look – there’s nothing wrong with unborn babies as influencers, per say – but c’mon, have we really reached the point where we might make a buck off our unborn children? Does @naturallybabytemi even want to pursue a career in ~content creation~!?

Since the post when live @naturallybabytemi’s Instagram account appears to have been deleted. Was it a case of not enough followers? Or did her parents think the fame was too much?

We can just add unborn babies as influencers to the long list of dodgy antics that came out of 2019, like Pete Evans ridiculous kids’ breakfast, Kim Kardashian making money during the Aussie bushfires, the Vegan influencer living in hiding after eating fish, and the influencer who said WWII was, like, way too triggering to learn about at school.
