One of the cool things about Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame was seeing characters who had never previously interacted before meet and then potentially team up in future films together.
With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’s release date getting pushed back after James Gunn was fired and then rehired, could Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord appear in another MCU film? Perhaps Thor: Love and Thunder or The Eternals?
While promoting his new Pixar film Onward, Chris Pratt spoke to MTV News about whether he’d be making an appearance in Phase 4 of the MCU and he gave a cheeky and cryptic response.
“I know the answer to that. I know the answer to that, but I can’t tell you!” he said with a huge smile on his face.
There are plenty of places for Star-Lord to pop up in with ten projects between Black Widow next May and Thor: Love and Thunder in November 2021.
It would be possible that he makes an appearance in Thor 3, and it’s also possible he might cross paths with The Eternals as it focuses on the same cosmic world as the Guardians.
The last time we saw Peter was when he was setting off with Thor and the other Guardians, so if Love and Thunder picks up right where Endgame left off it’s possible Pratt will play a role in that film.
Or perhaps the Guardians of the Galaxy will make a cameo elsewhere in Phase Four to set up their return in Phase Five. It could even be in a post-credit scene.
Before Chris appears in GOTG Vol. 3 he will be shooting Jurassic World 3 in early 2020 before it’s released on June 11, 2021.
