It’s been a big day for… Listening to...

May Cassie From Love Island's Cringey X Factor Audition Live On Forever

Love Island wasn't her first go on a reality TV show.

If you’re up-to-date on Love Island Australia, you’d be well aware that British-born Cassie has gone through her fair amount of struggles during the show.

After two failed flings with fellow contestants Adam and Gerard, Cassie shacked up with Phoebe but it all ended in tears when her intentions were questioned. Cass appears to have settled into her new coupling with one half of the intruder twins, Luke, but even they’ve encountered a rather bumpy road over the past few weeks.

What a lot of people aren’t aware of, however, is that Love Island Australia isn’t Cassie’s first time on a reality TV show.

Footage has emerged from an audition Cassie did on X Factor UK in 2013 and, wow, there really are no words.

The clip shows a then 20-year-old Cassie and her friend performing as the pop/rap duo, Duplex. Wearing matching outfits (including a bowtie and scarf) the girls performed Cheryl Cole’s ‘Call My Name’ and it’s safe to say, the judges weren’t too impressed.

After a wobbly start, Cassie begins rapping (!!) and Sharon Osbourne frowns before they are quickly cut off. Judge Gary Barlow told the pair “you really are on in the same person that you both can’t sing.”

“Really awful singing, woeful,” he added.

Cassie’s singing partner suggested it was “probably just the nerves,” but Barlow made it clear once again: “No, no it’s not the nerves you just really can’t sing.”

Ouch!

According to the Daily Mail, Cassie also appeared on the UK TV show Made in Chelsea and she even auditioned for The Bachelor, but turned down the opportunity because the show seemed like “too much drama.” I mean – that’s fair enough.

Perhaps Cass will have more luck in the Love Island villa than she did with her singing career.
