Actor and model Josh Kloss has come out with sexual misconduct accusations against Katy Perry.
Kloss, who was featured in Perry’s ‘Teenage Dream’ music video, took to Instagram with a lengthy post detailing his negative experience of working with her back in 2010 before claiming she sexually harassed him at party and making him feel “pathetic and embarrassed.”
The actor alleges that while he was at a party with the singer, she “pulled [his] Adidas sweats and underwear out as far as she could to show a couple of her guy friends and the crowd around [them], [his] penis.”
Kloss claims that he tolerated Perry’s behaviour at the time as it was the only job he had, which he says he was paid $650 for, and was “lorded over” by the singer’s representatives to not say anything about her publicly.
The accusations come on the eve of ‘Teenage Dream’s’ ninth anniversary and rather than mark the date with a cover, Kloss decided to come forward and talk about “one of the most confusing, assaulting, and belittling jobs” he’s ever done.
At a time when the #MeToo movement is in full flow, Kloss remarked that “our culture is set on proving men of power are perverse. But females with power are just as disgusting.”
This isn’t the first time Perry has been accused of questionable behaviour with men. There was the 2018 American Idol incident where she forced a kiss upon a contestant – who had never been kissed before – as well as the 2017 iHeartRadio red carpet incident where she grabbed a then 18-year-old Shawn Mendes’ butt and left him visibly stunned.
With her copyright infringement case still fresh in everyone’s mind, it probably goes without saying that Katy Perry isn’t having a great time right now.
At the time of writing, she’s yet to issue out a statement on Kloss’s accusations.
