Look, it’s been a bit depressing but, in true Internet fashion, we have turned all of this trauma (along with the good stuff) into viral, internet memes! Love that for us. Firstly, we need to address the fact that a meme song that took the world by storm. ‘Old Town Road‘, initially released on Soundcloud, became an internet sensation, slowly climbing the charts and breaking a Billboard record. It’s legacy? making the world fall back in love with country music.

Not to mention, Keke Palmer’s limited knowledge of the White House gave us the perfect reaction to any one-night-stand.

Also, the nostalgia in us focused all of its attention on the 2007 single, ‘Untouched‘ by The Veronicas, which finally got the recognition it deserved.

Don’t forget, in 2019 we were introduced to the environmentalist icon, Greta Thunberg, who made history with her powerful speech towards Trump. We did turn her into memes though…

And speaking of history, in 2019 got into the concept of re-writing history, with the viral memes format “I’m gonna tell my kids this is….”. It was a barrel of laughs, to say the least.

Lastly, we just have to talk about the Kombucha girl memes that summed up visually how fast our brains think in 2019.
