We're Obsessed With Wonder Woman Swinging From Lightning In New '1984' Teaser

Hell. Yes.

Since Wonder Woman’s release in 2017, we’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of its sequel Wonder Woman 1984 and we’ve finally got our first taste with the first teaser.

The first official trailer is set for release on Monday at CCXP Brazil, but fans are already freaking out thanks to the quick teaser which shows Diana Prince swinging through lightning.

Watch the teaser (and be left amazed) here:

The teaser shows Wonder Woman swinging through lightning with her lasso and fans were quick to take to Twitter to share their thoughts:

Wonder Woman 1984 is directed by Patty Jenkins and will have the backdrop of the Cold War.

Kristen Wiig joins the cast as Barbara Ann Minerva AKA Cheetah and Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal confirmed to be playing Maxwell Lord.

Chris Pine returns as Steve Trevor, even though he apparently died during World War I in the first Wonder Woman film.

Pine spoke about Trevor’s return to the film during an interview with Variety earlier this year.

He said, “This one is a little different for me tonally. The tables are turned, and I’m more of the deer in the headlights.”

In another chat with the publication, he added, “I found this time, the tables had turned on me as a man, in terms of how I interacted and played on the screen… I loved, as the character, my woman. My partner. She’s my partner. So that came to define this man. What a wonderful thing, as a character, to be in love.

“As a man on screen in a big film, it was interesting because my ego comes out: ‘Well, I want the big f**king fight. Let me climb something.’ And Patty’s like, ‘No, not about you.’ She said ‘not about you’ more times making this film.”

Wonder Woman 1984 is set for release on June 5, 2020 and we cannot wait!
