This Leaked Photo From The Wonder Woman 1984 Set Hints At A New Amazonian Tribe

Seriously can't wait for this movie.

A new photo from the set of Wonder Woman 1984 starring Gal Gadot might reveal details about some new characters joining the film.

The photo, which appeared on Reddit, features actress Rosanna Walls dressed as an Amazon. The caption on the photo seems to confirm Walls is part of the Amazonian tribe known as Bana-Mighdall.

The Bana-Mighdall tribe features in the Wonder Woman comic books and are a group of Amazons who break away from the rest of the women on Themyscira. They’re led by Diana’s aunt Antiope (Robin Wright) and left the island to seek revenge on men. They eventually settled in Egypt and were kept separate from the other Amazons.

Their conflict with those on Themyscira came to a head when they waged war on the Amazons on the island after being exploited by Circe, a villain from the comics.

It would be cool to see more of the Amazons, but it’s entirely possible the person who shared the photo to Reddit was mistaken and it’s just the new costume for the Amazons, who knows?

At this stage we don’t know too much about the movie other than the fact it’s set during the Cold War, Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) is somehow back from the dead and Wonder Woman is up against the Cheetah (Kristen Wiig).

Oh, and Wonder Woman looks like a serious badass in this poster:

We still have a while to go before we see any more official marketing as the movie was pushed back from the end of this year to June next year.

In Feuds We Didn't See Coming, Kid Rock Is Going After Taylor Swift With A Gross Tweet

What a way to try and remain relevant...

I never thought I’d be writing about a feud between Kid Rock and Taylor Swift, but that is exactly what is happening right now.

Kid Rock, a vocal President Trump supporter, apparently doesn’t agree with Taylor’s politics and has taken to Twitter to write something disgusting about the singer.

“Taylor Swift wants to be a democrat because she wants to be in movies….period. And it looks like she will suck the door knob off Hollyweird to get there. Oldest move in the book. Good luck girl.”

He also signed off with his name, which is pretty weird…

It’s thought that Kid Rock is lashing out against Taylor because of her recent Vogue interview which discusses her new-found political activism.

“Rights are being stripped from basically everyone who isn’t a straight white cisgender male. I didn’t realize until recently that I could advocate for a community that I’m not a part of.

“It’s hard to know how to do that without being so fearful of making a mistake that you just freeze. Because my mistakes are very loud. When I make a mistake, it echoes through the canyons of the world. It’s clickbait, and it’s a part of my life story, and it’s a part of my career arc.”

Many people have come to Taylor’s defence since Kid Rock sent his tweet. Sheryl Crow simply responded, “Spread love. Not hate. End of subject.”

Chrissy Teigen also replied, “You’re pathetic.”

This is another of our favourite responses:

Adding to the scandal, fans of singer Kacey Musgraves noticed her account had ‘liked’ Kid Rock’s sexist tweet, but she was quick to share that her account had, in fact, been hacked.

She then revealed she’d reached out to Taylor about the issue after fans tweeted her saying they didn’t believe the hack story.

The singer wrote, “I’ve connected with Taylor – she knows this is NOT how I feel and we are cool. That was a manipulated image (I don’t even follow Kid Rock), and I would NEVERRR support any message promoting such disgusting misogyny.”

Let’s be honest, this is just Kid Rock’s way to try and remain relevant in 2019…

Jason Momoa's Delaying Shooting Of Aquaman 2 So He Can Save Sacred Land In Hawaii

A real-life superhero.

Jason Momoa has revealed he may have to delay shooting of Aquaman 2 because he’s trying to save sacred land in Hawaii – and that sounds like a pretty good reason to us.

The star has been in Hawaii over the last few weeks protesting a construction project on the state’s tallest mountain, Mauna Kea, sacred land to Indigenous Hawaiians.

The Thirty Meter Telescope, or TMT, is a $1.4 billion construction project which has sparked much protest among native people.

According to CNN, revered ancestors are buried at the sacred site and it’s seen as the place where humans can enter heaven. Scientists, however, see the land as the best place to capture a clear glimpse into the origins of the universe.

The Rock is also on board with the protests and has previously said, “It’s not about stopping science. It’s about respecting culture and respecting people and doing things the right way.”

He added that protests are “so peaceful, yet so powerful,” however, several arrests have been made.

Jason joined the fight after the arrests were made and has since taken to Instagram to share many updates from the site.

In one post he wrote, “We are the unexpected, we are the resistance, we will never give up.”

“TMT, you are welcome in [The] Canary Islands. The conditions are better and you are welcome there. Even better, the best conditions [are in] Morocco, but if no one wants [you], TMT, [then] shoot it to space. Please leave [our] Mauna alone. You have taken enough from our people… Leave us alone. NO is NO.”

The actor has once again taken to Instagram to share that “can’t shoot Aquaman 2“.

“Sorry Warner Bros we can’t shoot Aquaman 2. Because Jason got run over by a bulldozer trying to stop the desecration of his native land THIS IS NOT HAPPENING. WE ARE NOT LETTING YOU DO THIS ANYMORE. Enough is enough.”

We’re pretty sure Jason will be contractually obligated to shoot the film, but it’s a pretty powerful reason to delay shooting.

Aquaman 2 will be released on December 16, 2022.
