Tormund Has Chimed In With A Game Of Thrones Update On Jon Snow

Not so happily ever after.

This time last year we were gearing up for the final season of Game of Thrones to drop. It had been a long seven years, and the two year wait between seasons 7 and 8 was nearly over. You may well recall that the final season ended up going down like a lead balloon, and immediately disappeared from the public consciousness, but we now have a bit more info about what has happened since.

While Tormund and Jon are stuck in The North, Michael Buble is stuck in a Hungry Jacks. Yes, really. The GOAT Team break it down for you…

Kristofer Hivju, who you probably know better as Tormund Giantsbane, has been busy since Game of Thrones ended. He’s starred alongside Will Ferrel and Julia Louis-Dreyfus in Downhill, and has been working on a project of his own called Twin where he plays a set of identical twins.

Speaking in an interview about life after Tormund and Game of Thrones, Kristofer said “It hadn’t felt like it’s over. You ended when you wrapped, and then you ended when it airs, and then you ended when there’s some awards shows. But this felt like the last last thing. It feels good. I gave everything to Tormund.”

And what does he think Jon and Tormund are up to, now that they have a lot of spare time up in the North?

“Jon is in a huge depression, so he needs Tormund to cheer him up, by the fire, warming each other.”

“Tormund is pretty heartbroken himself, so maybe they can bond over that.”

It definitely isn’t a happy image, but in the Game of Thrones world it could definitely be worse. Jon and Tormund sitting together, alone and depressed isn’t cheery, but he’s got Ghost with him and a noticeable lack of white walkers chasing him, so that’s a plus.

Besides, it wouldn’t be Game of Thrones without us all crying over something, would it?
