Prepare For Nightmares Now We Know What'd Happen If The Real 'Annabelle' Escaped

Good luck sleeping.

If you find possessed dolls scary, I’d strongly recommend scrolling out of this story – because it’s a doozy. According to a bunch of rumours floating around social media, the real Annabelle doll that inspired all of those terrifying Conjuring movies has escaped from the museum in Connecticut where she’s been ‘living’ for decades.

According to Vice, rumours of Annabelle’s escape began making the rounds on Twitter and then her official Wikipedia was changed to read, “The Annabelle doll escaped on August 12, 2020 at 3:00AM in The Warrens’ Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut, United States.”

For those who live in Connecticut – good luck sleeping, ever again. Speaking of horror, hear about 2019’s craziest conspiracy theories below:

If you’ve seen the 2014 flick Annabelle you’d know that it’s part of the Conjuring franchise, and is based on a real life story of a haunted doll from the ‘70s that – according to paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren – behaved strangely and was reportedly inhabited by the spirit of a deceased girl named ‘Annabelle’.

To ease the concerns of…everyone, the Warrens’ son-in-law Tony Spera recently took to YouTube to prove that Annabelle had not, in fact, escaped from her glass cage.

“Annabelle’s alive – well, I shouldn’t say – alive – Annabelle’s here, in all her infamous glory,” he says in the video. “She never left the museum. I have high-tech security here. If she had left the museum I’d instantly know if something happened, or somebody broke in.”

Okay, but what if she did escape?

Speaking to Vice, haunted dolls expert Kat Blowers said, “Depending on how well the containment is in [the protective case], which I hear is pretty strong, I think Annabelle would go back to doing the exact same type of hauntings she has been confirmed doing in the past.”

Blowers said that if Annabelle escaped she could find a “weak soul” or someone who “is otherwise not strong enough to fight off her energy” to inhabit.

Perhaps the most bone-chilling revelation is that, according to Blowers, Annabelle’s haunted spirit will never go dormant. “We are feeding her with every article, every glance. Every time we type her name, she is getting that energy, and she will never stop feeding off that.”

BRB, forgetting I ever read this information.
