Another day, another MAFS. Now that episode two has ended, let’s take note of the lessons learnt from Amanda and Tash, Mikey and Natasha, and all their adjacent friends.

For this MAFS episode, we’re learning about how crappy friends can ruin a relationship. Let’s begin.
Rule One: Friends Should Make Sure Everything’s Perfect
Its the rule of the bridesmaids and the groomsmen to make sure that every element on a wedding day is picture-perfect. This includes making sure that hair and makeup are looking nice, shoes are comfortable and have been broken into and finally, making sure everything worn has no creases.
Evidently, Amanda’s bridal party aren’t trained in the fine art of weddings as they allowed the bride to walk out in an unironed blazer. Bad move team!
Rule Two: Crappy Friends Can Sabotage The Wedding
Intentions don’t always correlate to actions. We’re sure that Natasha’s friend/hairdresser just wanted the best for her, but it certainly didn’t look that way. As her new husband walked down the aisle, Natasha’s friend Lincoln, dressed in a blazer with no shirt, yelled: “Natasha will eat him alive.” Uncool, Lincoln.
Further, at the reception, he tried to undermine Mikey (the new husband), by saying “She needs someone to step up to the plate on her level and not be a pushover.” C’mon Lincoln! Now is not the time to throw off your friend’s new partner.
Rule Three: Some Friends Try And Make It All About Them
I imagine weddings are stressful. There are so many people to meet, so many people to thank and so many speeches to be had. As a result, there can be times when the spotlight sits on other people. Bad friends are the kind of people that crave the spotlight at every step of the way. A case study to showcase this would be Tash’s bridesmaids, aka Cinderella’s stepsisters.
After not getting enough attention from Tash’s new, family-oriented bride, these two put Amanda on blast. After interrogating her, they tried to be the hero, going up to Tash and twisting their conversation with Amanda so that it causes drama with her new bride. Not cool at all.
Rule Four: Good Friends Paint You In A Good Light
The best kind of friends at a wedding are the kind that are open to meeting strangers and have your back. For this example, let’s look at Mikey’s groomsmen.
Sure, these fellas like to take the piss out of Mikey by bringing up his childhood habits that lasted way too long. But, at the end of the day, they want what’s best for him, so they always finish conversations by talking him up.
