Everything You Need To Know About Travis Scott's Collab With Fortnite

It's lit.

It’s official: Travis Scott has teamed up with Fortnite to bring the worlds of gaming and rap together, just in time for isolation.

According to Fortnite, Scott is set to debut his new song ‘Astronomical’ on the popular video game as part of a series of concerts set to start tomorrow.

“From April 23-25, blast off into a one of a kind musical journey featuring Travis Scott and the world premiere of a brand new track,” a statement on Epic Game’s site reads. “Astronomical is an other-worldly experience inspired by Cactus Jack’s creations, built from the ground up in Fortnite.”

Fortnite states that they’ve set up multiple tour dates with international showtimes so gamers around the globe have the chance to experience the event. “Jump into whichever time fits your schedule best, or catch an encore with your friends if they missed it.”

Both Travis Scott and the official Cactus Jack social media accounts have shared screen captures of Scott within the game that show a virtual replica of the rapper riding a rollercoaster carriage through the air.

It’s not the first time Fortnite has collaborated with big names outside the world of gaming. The game has promoted Disney’s Ralph Breaks The Internet, the NFL, Star Wars, Stranger Things, Batman Day, Borderlands 3, John Wick, Marshmello, Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame and more. However, this is the first time the game has become home to a multi day event like Scott’s ‘Astronomical’ release.

Here are all the dates for Travis Scott’s Fortnite event:

Friday, April 24 at 12am AEST/10am EST
Saturday, April 25 at 2pm AEST/12am EST
Saturday, April 25 at 1am AEST/11am EST
Saturday, April 25 at 8am AEST/6pm EST

Fortnite’s collab with Travis Scott is further proof that the way we consume content – whether it be music or movies – is becoming increasingly digitised. While we’re all stuck indoors and virtually connected more than ever, now is the perfect time to explore all these endless possibilities.
