Daniel Radcliffe Attempts To Answer Long-Standing Fan Question About Voldemort

It's left some fans confused for almost 20 years.

Daniel Radcliffe has attempted to answer a Harry Potter fan question about Voldemort that has left people confused for almost 20 years.

I must admit, this question has never crossed my mind, but it seems that many fans have been wondering how Professor Quirrell and Voldemort were able to sleep when they shared the same head.

In case you’ve somehow forgotten, Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher Professor Quirrell wore a purple turban that hid the fact that a weak Voldemort’s face was on the back of his own head in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

While promoting his new film Escape To Pretoria, which also stars Ian Hart who played Quirrell, Radcliffe was asked to weigh in on the discussion during an interview with Huffpost.

He responded, “What’s that? How did he sleep at night? I would say that the only practical thing to do there would be to sleep on your side, unless Voldemort doesn’t need air, which I’m not sure.

“As long as there’s breath coming into the body, he’s probably asleep on his front because it would still circulate around the whole thing. I’m guessing back-of-the-head Voldemort could survive off front-of-the-head Ian Hart’s air supply.”

OK, I probably wouldn’t have thought about the fact that they share the same air supply, though it does explain how he didn’t suffocate under that turban…

The strange question was perhaps first publicly addressed in A Very Potter Musical, which was created by Glee’s Darren Criss.
