BTS's Collab With Troye Sivan And Sia Is A Feast For The Senses, Surely

The Aussies can now join the likes of Lauv, Halsey and Charli XCX.

Looks like BTS are feeling the Aussie love and we couldn’t be happier. Just a few hours ago, the band released the tracklist for their new album, 7, and yes, it broke the internet. Understandably

Love BTS? We had a good ol’ yarn about them on this episode of It’s Been A Big Day For…

Their new album looks to be some sort of compilation of their previous few projects, featuring the incredible collaboration with Halsey, ‘Boy With Luv’ among other previously heard singles.

But the thing that has the internet shaking, is the collaboration with none-other than Troye Sivan.

In a Tweet, Troye let all of his fans and the ARMY know that he played a part in writing the highly anticipated song, ‘Louder Than Bombs’. And yes, the ARMY are super excited, because it sounds like it’s going to be a literal bop.

In addition to this, there is only one other feature on this tracklist and it’s none other than our national treasure, Sia!

The Aussie queen appears to be a feature on the title-track, On, which looks to be the lead single off this project. A similar occurrence happened when BTS dropped their single, ‘IDOL’, with Nicki Minaj on her own version of the song. Will Sia be in the music video? Will Sia get her own version of a music video like Minaj? Who knows!

Sia has just released a song for the Dolittle soundtrack, but before that, she hadn’t dropped anything in a few years. Is there a comeback in our midst? We definitely hope so!

Also, we hope that, because they seem to love the sound coming out of Australia right now, that maybe there could be a 5SOS or Tones and I collaboration in our midst?

BTS are dropping their album 7 in just a few days. So, we’ll catch you then, on YouTube, constantly refreshing for their new music video. If you can’t wait, make sure you check out their new songs, including their performance of James Corden, and the music videos for ‘Outro: Ego’ and ‘Interlude: Shadow’.

No, Justin Bieber Didn't Steal That Song, Here Are All The Facts

Mark My Words.

On Friday, Justin Bieber released his new, highly-anticipated album Changes, and within 24 hours there was already controversy.

Right, okay.

No, it had nothing to do with his desperate attempt at a number one single, it actually surrounded one of the songs on his new album. His new song, ‘Running Over’, which features Lil Dicky, started to do the rounds on Twitter all because of comments made by an unknown musician, Asher Monroe.

Speaking of music plagiarism, have you heard our chat on the Hot Chelle Rae, The 1975 and Maroon 5 beef on this episode of It’s Been A Big Day For…? You should check it out!

Asher Monroe uploaded a screenshot of his own Instagram story to Twitter, saying: Justin Bieber “jacked my swag”. Along with this comment, he placed an image of his own song “Synergy” next to Bieber’s new song. The internet then put two and two together and the comparative videos started to do the rounds.

Here, stan Twitter was shocked at the blatant plagiarism from the Biebs that the hate started to pour in.

But then, it wasn’t long until people noticed the instrumental also very similar to a song by the Korean band, Yumdda.

Then, the songwriter spoke up.

Laxcity, an American producer, came forward saying that he made the beat and released it on Splice (a sound library) for royalty-free use. Laxcity shut down Asher Monroe’s claims by saying “Look at this clown” and “Lol bro I made this melody, not you… you should chill out.”

So there you have it, no one plagiarised. All good, right? Wrong. Just as we thought the case was closed, the sad truth revealed itself. Because this producer made the beat for royalty-free use, he’s actually making no money off of the Bieber song.

Hopefully this talented producer gets the exposure he well and truly deserves and at least something will have come out of this dramatic saga.

Married At First Sight Shows There’s More To Learn About Consent

"Take your bra off! Let it hang!"

Welcome back to MAFS Lessons, if you’re more of a visual learner, don’t worry, we’ve got you:

Amanda and Tash have had a really hard time connecting with each other. We could’ve put it down to Amanda’s fiery personality or Tash’s dating history, but the first commitment ceremony was full of red flags.

If you’re a big fan of Married At First Sight, check out this episode of It’s Been A Big Day For…

In the commitment ceremony, there was one particular interaction that had us shocked and it’s when Amanda said: “If it were up to me, we probably would have slept together by now.”

Now, we all know that consent requires everyone involved in the situation to give an enthusiastic ‘yes’, and Tash hasn’t given any indication that she wants to be that intimate with Amanda. In fact, it was the opposite.

Tash actually described in detail how her feelings evolved from initial attraction to lack thereof, saying: “I was acting a certain way at the wedding and now my body language changed and she’s really intuitive and I knew she could pick it up. I wish I felt burning, strong, firey chemistry, I wish I did, but I’m not going to bullshit it.”

And Amanda knew this, but it didn’t stop Tash from blaming herself for the whole saga. She said: “I hurt her, but I was honest. I feel like I ruined the honeymoon, really, and it was pretty hard to recover from it and it drove a big wedge between us.”

Also, it didn’t help that Amanda cornered her wife, in front of 21 other people, outlining her lack of intimacy in their relationship, saying: “Quality time for me is watching a movie together… We didn’t watch a single movie together…  I’m talking away from the public… I’m talking in the room, with no one around, like your walls down, our PJ’s are on and we’re just our complete selves, our bras are literally off, and we’re enjoying each other’s company… Take your bra off! Let it hang! Do you know what I mean?”

So, essentially we have a situation with an abundance of issues. Tash feels like she’s in the wrong because she isn’t feeling the same feelings as her partner and Amanda feels the need to vocalise what she would have done if she was “calling the shots.” Newsflash, it’s not “calling the shots” if one member of the relationship is not up for the intimacy.

So unless Tash changes her mind, falls in love with Amanda and begin in something more than a friendship, the bras stay on.

If you haven’t done your MAFS homework, make sure you catch up on previous lessons. So far, we’ve learnt about gaslighting, why adults still need supervision, to never force chemistry, to not make a fool of yourself when there are cameras aroundhow to meet people in a socially acceptable way and also how crappy friends can ruin a relationship.
