Adam Levine Forced To Apologise For 'Unprofessional' Maroon 5 Concert

But fans are still seriously unimpressed.

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine has been forced to apologise after giving an “unprofessional” performance at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival in Chile.

However, fans aren’t very accepting of the apology.

The singer took to his Instagram Stories, saying, “I’d really like to address reactions to the concert and kind of explain myself because I feel like you guys deserve that.”

“You know, being in a band you play a lot of shows and I am so passionate and excited about concerts and about being my best and about the band being our best, and being our best for you guys, honestly, you know. Performing I take so seriously. Sometimes too seriously.”

“And to be totally frank, there were some things holding me back sonically last night. And I let them get to me, and it impacted how I was behaving on stage, which was unprofessional and I apologize for that.”

He went on to say that he always wants to be the best performer he can be and represent the band to the best of his ability, “I struggled a lot and sometimes it’s really hard for me to mask the struggle. For that, I did let you guys down and I apologize.”

He added that it was “one show of many” in Chile and they “adore” their fans there.

“Last night wasn’t our best and, for that, all I can say is that I’m really sorry,” he finished.

ET reports the band was 30 minutes late to their set and Levine had “low energy” throughout the performance.

Maroon 5’s representatives issued a statement and denied the band came out on stage late and blamed technical difficulties.

According to CNN, the statement reads, “Maroon 5 took the stage on schedule and on time [Thursday night]. They performed 70 minutes of their greatest hits to great acclaim. Unfortunately, during the performance, the band encountered numerous technical difficulties throughout the show, including monitor issues and with both of Adam Levine’s in ears.”

In a video posted backstage, Levine is heard coming off stage saying, “That was a TV show. That was not a concert.”

Fans took to social media after the concert, sharing their disappointment in the whole thing:

Doesn’t seem like the people of Chile will be keen to see another Maroon 5 concert anytime soon…
