Elon Musk Doubles Down On Calling Thai Cave Rescuer A Pedo, Because When You're That Rich, Threats Of Lawsuits Don't Scare You

Grimes, come and get Elon please, he's acting up again.

After previously apologising for calling a British cave diver who participated in the rescue of the Thai soccer team a pedo, Elon Musk has again called the man a paedophile, this time in an email to Buzzfeed News. I guess Elon’s apologies don’t mean very much, hey?

Back in July, Elon was so upset that the rescuers didn’t make use of his tiny submarine that he called Vernon Unsworth, a British cave diver who now lives in Thailand, a “pedo guy” on Twitter, the implication being that any white guy who chooses to live in a part of Thailand known for its caves is a paedophile, because of the human trafficking that takes place there. It couldn’t be that the guy who likes cave diving wants to live near caves, and his home country of England isn’t exactly bursting with them. No. The most logical conclusion is that he’s a paedophile, obviously.

More recently, Elon made the rookie mistake of not getting confirmation from the journalist he was corresponding with that a conversation was actually off-the-record, which is required for a conversation to actually be off-the-record. As a result, Buzzfeed News was able to report on the increasingly bizarre emails he’s been sending them.

After asking Musk for comment on a legal threat made by Unsworth’s lawyer last month, Musk responded with:

“I suggest that you call people you know in Thailand, find out what’s actually going on and stop defending child rapists, you fucking asshole. He’s an old, single white guy from England who’s been traveling to or living in Thailand for 30 to 40 years, mostly Pattaya Beach, until moving to Chiang Rai for a child bride who was about 12 years old at the time.”

He went on to add:

“As for this alleged threat of a lawsuit, which magically appeared when I raised the issue (nothing was sent or raised beforehand), I fucking hope he sues me.”

He also linked the Buzzfeed journalists to the Google search for “Chiang Rai child trafficking”, in case they were the only people in the world who don’t know how to use Google. Google searches are not a valid source, Elon. Didn’t you learn this at school? It’s worse than using Wikipedia as a source, mate.

Musk’s extended tantrum over this highlights just how fragile his ego is; the rescue team didn’t need to use his submarine, and instead of just being happy that the soccer team was rescued successfully, Musk has responded by launching an extended vendetta against one of the people involved in the rescue.

Mere mortals are usually scared into submission by threats of lawsuits, but not Elon Musk, who has so much money he could probably establish and fund his own judiciary if he wanted to. Oh, to be so rich that the normal rules that govern society and keep us from descending into The Purge-style madness don’t apply to you. It’s truly the dream!
