'A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish' Looks Terrible And I Can't Wait To Watch It

If you've ever wanted to see Santa and his elf fall in love, this movie is for you!

The latest take on the Cinderella Story franchise is set at peak rom-com time – Christmas! And it even features Santa Claus trying to romance an elf, which is… um, quite weird actually.

Laura Marano, who you might recognise from The Perfect Date (another terrible rom-com), stars as Kat Decker, a young woman who dreams of being a singer/songwriter but is currently working as a singing elf at billionaire Terence Wintergarden’s Santa Land.

Kat tries to achieve her dreams but is constantly shut down by her horrible stepfamily.

The young singer soon meets and falls for Nick, played by Gregg Sulkin (Runaways), who is far too handsome and far too young to be playing Santa. Nick invites Kat to the Wintergarden Christmas Gala to perform and show everyone what she’s made of, but we all know where this is going…

After her stepmother steal’s her invite and her dress for the ball for her daughter, Kat must find her own way into the event without them realising.

The trailer, which you can watch here, shows that the movie is incredibly cheesy, but if you ask me – that’s the best kind of movie to watch at Christmas. After all, terrible movies like Christmas Prince and The Princess Switch make for enjoyable viewing during the festive season.

The movie is going straight to DVD and Blu-Ray later this year, but here’s hoping it ends up on Netflix so we can add it to our cheesy Christmas movie marathon.

The ‘Get Out’ Producers Have Cancelled Their New Project Because Of Mass Shootings And Trump

The film was meant to be released next month.

It’s been a pretty terrible week for the US. The country has been left heartbroken following mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio as well as Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids at several Mississippi food processing plants which saw 680 workers arrested for immigration violations – leaving many children and spouses without family members.

While all of that was happening, was President Donald Trump working to solve either of these huge problems? No. He was tweeting about a movie called The Hunt, made by the producers of Get Out and The Purge.

He wrote, “Liberal Hollywood is Racist at the highest level, and with great Anger and Hate! They like to call themselves ‘Elite,’ but they are not Elite.

“In fact, it is often the people that they so strongly oppose that are actually the Elite. The movie coming out is made in order… to inflame and cause chaos. They create their own violence, and then try to blame others. They are the true Racists, and are very bad for our Country!”

According to the NY Post, Trump also spoke about the movie with reporters this week in the Hamptons, “Hollywood, I don’t call them the elites. I think the elites are the people they go after in many cases. But Hollywood is really terrible.”

“What they’re doing, with the kind of movie they’re putting out, it’s actually very dangerous for our country. What Hollywood is doing is a tremendous disservice to our country.”

Universal Pictures decided to stop their advertising campaign for The Hunt following the two mass shootings. However, not long after Trump tweeted, they decided to shelve the movie, which stars Hilary Swank, Emma Roberts, Justin Hartley and Betty Gilpin.

The satirical film was about supposed red state Americans who wake up to find they’re being hunted for sport by elite liberals.

Universal released a statement which read, “While Universal Pictures had already paused the marketing campaign for The Hunt, after thoughtful consideration, the studio has decided to cancel our plans to release the film.”

“We stand by our film-makers and will continue to distribute films in partnership with bold and visionary creators, like those associated with this satirical social thriller, but we understand that now is not the right time to release this film.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the screenplay for the movie includes the lines, “Did anyone see what our ratf***er-in-chief just did?”

Another person responds, “At least The Hunt’s coming up. Nothing better than going out to the Manor and slaughtering a dozen deplorables,” referencing a nickname for Trump supporters.

So, it’s pretty unsurprising that Trump didn’t love the idea for the film…

Finn Wolfhard Was Digitally De-Aged For It: Chapter Two And It Just Looks Like They Used A Snapchat Filter

He looks so cute!

Stranger ThingsFinn Wolfhard grew so much between shooting It and It: Chapter Two he had to be digitally de-aged to the point where he basically looks like a Snapchat filter was used on him.

Director Andy Muschietti revealed to Total Film magazine early on they “knew that [de-ageing] would be part of the budget” due to a number of flashback scenes.

He added that Finn “grew up quite a bit” between the two films which were shot two years apart.

“It’s better to shoot it two years later than five years later,” he said. “But in those two years, they grew up quite a bit. Not all of them. Sophia [Lillis] looks exactly the same. Jaeden [Martell] looks pretty much the same.”

“Finn grew up quite a bit, and he’s a tall guy. But from the beginning, we knew that that would be part of the budget, the visual effects to address that. So we’re going to de-age the kids.”

This is what Finn looked like in the first It movie:

And this is what he looks like now:

Look at how tall he is!

Anyway, in case you missed the most recent It: Chapter Two trailer, here’s what Finn looks like after being digitally de-aged:

He actually looks adorable and not that far off how he looked in the first film which is pretty amazing. Those glasses and his huge eyes definitely make it look like a Snapchat filter was used though.

In this shot taken on set you can see how much older he looked while filming:

It’s unclear just yet on whether Jack Dylan Grazer or Chosen Jacobs were de-aged.
