Childish Gambino Will Send Two New Unreleased Songs To Fans Who Bought Tix To His Concerts So Anyone With A Spare Ticket Please HMU ASAP

Just when we thought we couldn't love Donald Glover any more, he goes and does something annoyingly awesome like this.

After surprising us all with that bonkers animated music video for “Feels Like Summer” just a few days ago,  Donald Glover – aka Childish Gambino – is back with another bag of goodies for all of us and this time he is really going all out for his fans.

According to Pitchfork, Glover has sent two new unreleased songs to fans who have bought tickets to his upcoming “This Is America” concert tour, which is about to kick off in America.

Excuse me for a sec.

Apparently ticket holders were sent the two songs – titled “Algorhythm” and “All Night” – and a note written by Glover, which was posted to Reddit to the presumed jealousy of those who missed out on Childish Gambino tickets.

The note reportedly said that the songs are “not complete” but were given to fans for them to “fully enjoy the experience” in the hopes that they don’t “share” the songs around. Yeah good luck with that one.

Now there is a little bit of doubt whether this is all legit, but I’m honestly inclined to believe that it is all real since it is totally a Donald Glover thing to do.

Now this whole new songs schtick brings up the most important question of all: will us Aussies get those tunes sent to us when Glover makes his way Down Under in November for his concert tour?

We’ve yet to receive confirmation from Glover’s concert promoters about this so keep an ear out for any potential updates. However, don’t expect to get a ticket to an Australian Childish Gambino concert anytime soon because they all sold out in record time and resell prices were getting jacked higher than a gym junkie.

That being said though, if anyone has a spare couple of tickets to Childish Gambino, please HMU ASAP. I’m willing to negotiate price and bartering rates of organ parts for those tix.

Dua Lipa Is Collabing With The World's Biggest K-pop Girl Group BLACKPINK And I'm 99% Sure This Will Reawaken The K-pop Fire In Me

If there's a music video as well, then Christmas and my next 10 birthdays have come early.

In the days before the beautiful haven GOAT, I was firmly ingrained in the shiny, perfectly-polished world that is K-pop and all of its accompanying circles. I’ve since left that world, certain that our beautiful time together will now remain buried in the memory archives for rainy nostalgic days.

Until now.

That’s because British singer Dua Lipa has announced that she will not only release a deluxe edition of her latest album, it will also feature a new collaboration track with none other than my favourite K-pop girl group – and arguably the biggest K-pop girl group in the world right now -BLACKPINK.

Excuse me, I think I’ll need a moment.

Okay, I’m good now.

Dia Lupa’s upcoming album will drop on October 19th and will contain three new songs, one of which is the BLACKPINK collaboration titled “Kiss and Make up”.

BLACKPINK have mainly been focusing on the Korean and Japanese music scenes since their 2016 debut but the quartet have had considerable success on the Billboard charts with their releases. I can only imagine that this collab with Dua Lipa will raise their already-popular profile in the west even higher.

I have no idea what to expect from this collaboration, but if it within the realm of Dua Lipa’s “New Rules” combined with BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU”, then I’m 99% certain that I’ll be lured back into the K-pop world once again.

Beyond the sure-to-be bonkers music, it will be interesting to see how this collaboration fares on the Western music charts. Given how much success BTS have had in the past year, seeing BLACKPINK achieve similar levels of exposure would be something of a paradigm shift for K-pop.

If there’s also a music video as stylistic as BLACKPINK’s usual fare, then I can safely push at 99% certainty to 100%.

Childish Gambino Brings The Heat Early With A Bonkers Animated 'Feels Like Summer' Music Video Featuring Every Hip-Hop Artist You Have On Your Spotify Playlist

Donald Glover at his most Donald Gloverest. Except everything is animated.

At this point in the timeline of pop culture, anything Donald Glover – aka Childish Gambino – puts out is expected to be equal parts brilliant and bonkers.

Just watch his brilliant “This Is America” music video or his equally-brilliant TV show Atlanta and you’ll likely find yourself in the mindset of “I don’t know what I’m watching but it is awesome”.

And now that little mantra has held true with Gambino’s newest offering: a completely out-there animated music video for his recently-released song “Feels Like Summer”.

Co-directed by Gambino, Ivan Dixon, and Greg Sharp, and animated by Justin Richburg, the whole thing is a four-minute symphony to the surreal as it depicts Gambino walking down a neighbourhood that’s populated by essentially every popular hip-hop artist on your Spotify playlist.

But instead of looking and being cool, all these hip-hop artists are like those annoying 10-year-old kids who get up to no good.

There’s Nicki Minaj getting upset at Travis Scott for knocking over her block castle, Pusha-T stealing Drake’s bike (which I could totally see happen in real life), and ASAP Rocky and Solange playing tug of war with the Weeknd.

But by far the best and most memorable cameo is the one of Kanye West because not only is he depicted as a crying mess in a Make American Great Again hat, Michelle Obama is the one who comforts poor sniffling Yeezy. That’s also something I can totally see happen in real life.

Unfortunately for all of us in Australia, the video is unavailable to watch because of regional restrictions and because life just doesn’t want us to have nice things. So unless you have something like a VPN, watching the “Feels Like Summer” video ain’t (sadly) happening and you’re gonna have to trawl Twitter or other places to get your Childish Gambino fix.

But still, if this is what Glover can do if given the keys to an animation playset, then Marvel really messed up by not letting him do that Deadpool TV series we all wanted.
