The One Reason The Charlie's Angels Reboot Is Actually Way More Badass Than You'd Think

This has us even more pumped to see it.

Last week we saw the first trailer for the Charlie’s Angels reboot and it looks bloody good.

The film stars Kristen Stewart, Elizabeth Banks, Naomi Scott, Ella Balinska, Djimon Hounsou, Patrick Stewart and Noah Centineo, with Banks also in the director’s chair.

With the release of the trailer came a HUGE wave of fan support for Stewart, who plays Sabina Wilson in the film:

Now, CinemaBlend reports that during a press call, Banks revealed we’re going to see a side to Kristen Stewart that we’ve never seen before. And, spoiler alert, it’s going to be bloody awesome!

“Absolutely. First of all, she is a legit action heroine. There’s no doubt about it. She’s super badass in the movie. She did so many of her own stunts. Did all of her training. They all did.

“They all did weapons training. They all did stunt training, fight training, driving, we all took driving – not lessons but we all had to go through and were all put through our paces in all of those areas.

“And then [Kristen’s] really, really funny. I think she lands as many jokes in this film as any comic actor working today. I think that will really surprise people.”

Stewart herself has described the movie as “funny and weird”, telling Variety, “At one point I think we said it was woke and grounded, and everyone was like, ‘Wait, is it still fun?’

“And I’m like, ‘Yeah dude, obviously, it’s Charlie’s Angels.’ … And it’s funny and weird, too, so hopefully people have fun watching it.”

From what Elizabeth Banks has previously said, the movie has more girl power than ever before and will also technically take place in the same universe as the previous movies and shows because the Townsend Agency has become an international operation with teams and Bosleys all across the world.

The movie is due for release on November 15, watch the trailer here:
