Mark Ruffalo's Idea For Hulk's Future In The MCU Needs To Be Made Into A Film

It includes the return of a fan favourite character.

We know most of what’s coming from the MCU for the next few years, but one character whose future we aren’t quite sure about is the Hulk, who’s played by Mark Ruffalo.

Fans have been left wondering if the Hulk would get his own solo movie post-Avengers: Endgame, or perhaps a Disney+ show, or even make an appearance in someone else’s movie?

Ruffalo has revealed he’s not opposed to returning as the Hulk, but there just aren’t any plans in place for the character just yet.

The actor has, however, had a meeting with Marvel boss Kevin Feige and revealed which stories he’d love to cover as the Hulk.

Speaking with Men’s Health, Ruffalo said, “Kevin Feige just asked me last week if I had any more ideas or stories for the Hulk. And I said, ‘Yeah, I think there’s still some stories to tell.’

“And he said, ‘Well why don’t you come in and tell me about them and we’ll see if we can find a place for you in the Marvel universe?'”

He added that the idea he’s been playing with the most would see the Hulk go up against a fan favourite Marvel character.

“Hulk vs. Wolverine. I’d like to see that. Hulk vs. Wolverine,” he said.

Um, that would be amazing! Though it makes us even sadder that Hugh Jackman has hung up his claws.

Hulk and Wolverine have crossed paths multiple times in the comics over the years with green guy appearing in Wolverine’s comic debut. They’ve also teamed up in the three-issue comic book series “Hulkverines” (terrible name) just this year.

The only problem with this is that we don’t know what Feige’s plans are for the X-Men at this stage. All we know is that he hinted that the mutants and the Fantastic Four will make their MCU debut in the coming years.

We don’t even know if they’re going to want to bring back Wolverine considering Jackman played the character for almost 20 years – how do you really follow that?

At the moment there have been a few actors who have been thrown in the ring by fans including Daniel Radcliffe, Keanu Reeves and Taron Egerton.

Looks like we’ll just have to wait and see what Feige thinks of Ruffalo’s idea to expand the Hulk’s storyline further down the track. The most obvious place for him to show up would be in the Disney+ series She-Hulk, so we can only hope that’s the case!
