This Honest Avengers: Endgame Trailer Might Just Be The Best Part Of The Whole Movie

It brings up a lot of good points!

Avengers: Endgame may have come out a few months ago now, but it seems like almost every day there’s something new about the film that’s coming out.

Screen Junkies has created Honest trailers for all of the MCU movies leading up to Endgame and now they’ve finally created one for the record-breaking film. And it is amazing.

The Honest trailer pokes fun at the movie’s constant attempts to explain time travel as a setup for upcoming MCU Phase 4 films as well as the TV shows that will appear on Disney+.

It also criticises the way Thor is made fun of in the movie for gaining weight when it’s obviously a result of his PTSD.

Unsurprisingly, it also points out the fact Black Widow was seemingly killed off as a way to spur on the male characters of the film.

Despite those things, the trailer does acknowledge the fact that the movie is a pretty damn satisfying end to a very popular series – and even pokes fun at Game of Thrones for being unable to do the same.

Watch the video here:

Marvel’s Phase 4 movie lineup which will include Black Widow (May 1, 2020), Eternals (November 6, 2020), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings (February 21, 2021), Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (May 7, 2021) and Thor: Love and Thunder (November 5, 2021).

The movies will also connect with the new TV shows in a way they’ve never done before. Some of the TV shows include The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision and the Hawkeye series.

Phase 5 will likely include Black Panther 2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Captain Marvel 2 and Fantastic Four.

The Black Widow Movie Will Actually Feature Way More Widows Than We Thought

A lot more.

The highly anticipated Black Widow movie will introduce many new characters from Natasha Romanoff’s past, including a bunch of other Black Widows.

The film is current shooting and stars Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Rachel Weiz and Florence Pugh.

In an interview with IGN at San Diego Comic-Con Weiz revealed there are more Black Widows than we originally thought.

“There are quite a number. I’m a Black Widow and there’s Scarlett and Florence. There’s quite a bit of other characters you’ll also meet that are Black Widows.”

It turns out that mantle has been shared by multiple women before Natasha even joined The Avengers.

We previously reported that Pugh’s role of Yelena Belova is the second person in the comics to take on the mantle of Black Widow, but it’s very interesting to know there will be a lot more of them.

Introducing Belova into the mix makes a lot of sense, because it means that although Nat died in Endgame, Marvel can continue to have Black Widow as a key character.

Since she first appeared in the MCU in Iron Man 2, Natasha has been a very mysterious character. We don’t know very much about her past, other than Hawkeye found her and recruited her for S.H.I.E.L.D and the flashback we saw in Age Of Ultron.

Now we know that the name Black Widow was actually shared by many different women, it’ll be interesting to see how they interact and how badass they are.

With the mantle of Captain America being handed to Sam Wilson and Thor naming Valkyrie as King of Asgard it’ll also be interesting to see the change in Widows.

Black Widow will be Marvel’s second female-focused movie after Captain Marvel and we are so pumped to see it when it hits theatres in May 2020.

We'll Be Waiting A While For New X-Men Movies, Thankfully

This is actually really good news.

When Disney and Fox merged there were many questions about how the X-Men would be integrated into the MCU following Dark Phoenix’s release earlier this year.

While many thought the franchise would be rebooted in Phase 4 of the MCU, it looks like we may have to wait until Phase 6.

Kevin Feige confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 that the X-Men are indeed coming to the MCU, but didn’t specify when this would happen. Prior to making the announcement, he unveiled the Phase 4 movies and teased two projects that would be part of Phase 5.

Feige confirmed that the movies announced as part of Phase 4 were not just a first wave but the entire Phase. While previous Phases have lasted three to four years, this next one will go from 2020 to 2021, so it would make sense to assume Phase 5 will begin in 2022 and Phase 6 will begin in 2024.

Phase 5 is believed to feature Blade, Fantastic Four, Black Panther 2, Captain Marvel 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, so it doesn’t seem likely they’ll make an X-Men movie during this time.

Given how poorly Dark Phoenix was received by fans, it’s probably a good thing Marvel is going to take their time in making a new X-Men series.

The X-Men are some of the most beloved characters and fans have been waiting a while to see them in the same universe as their favourite Avengers characters so we genuinely hope they take their time to make it good – especially when it comes to casting.

Marvel has done a pretty great job when it comes to casting in the past, so we have no doubts they’ll find the perfect people for the roles, but by waiting until Phase 6 they’ll also have the opportunity to get the story right. After Dark Phoenix we’re very keen to see a good X-Men movie…

Josh Boone’s The New Mutants will be out in 2020 after a few setbacks (the trailer was released in 2017 and we still haven’t seen the film), but the movie is more of a low-budget haunted house-style horror movie than a traditional X-Men film.
