Zayn Malik’s Hectic Gigi Hadid Rant On Twitter Makes You Wish Some Celebrities Would Just Log Off

Social media clearly isn't helping.

Former One Direction member Zayn Malik has always had a temper online, but his most recent rant really just makes you wonder why he doesn’t log off altogether.

The outburst was heated and honestly confusing for everyone reading, because it’s unclear who the young star is directing his anger to.

“How about you all go f*** yourselves with your irrelevant bulls***.” he posted.

“This ain’t a place for feelings. And you aren’t the person you said you were.”

As is to be expected when a celebrity posts online (especially something so spicy), fans speculated about what and who he was talking about.

Some fans theorised that the sentiment “you aren’t the person you said you were,” could have been addressing Zayn’s ex-girlfriend and model Gigi Hadid, which only enraged him further.

He posted a series of tweets defending his respect for Gigi and furiously shutting down anyone who said anything otherwise. He literally invites the conflict by asking anyone to @ him if they have something to say.

Understandably, it would be extremely difficult for someone like Zayn who has spent so much of his young adult life with the public scrutiny that comes with being in one of the world’s biggest-ever boy bands. Dealing with the amount of public speculation and discourse on your life would be very challenging.

But there seems to be this false sense that Zayn must live his private conflicts online, when he is entitled to more privacy than he currently lets himself have. The dedication of fans can make that difficult because celebrities feel like they owe it to them to share everything, and as an ex One Direction-er, Zayn has a particularly passionate fanbase.

It would be tricky for someone like Zayn to see it from where he stands, but he wouldn’t be letting anyone down by just distancing himself from a platform like Twitter that clearly makes him so angry.
