Congratulations are in order for Hilary Duff and boyfriend, Matthew Koma, who just announced they’re expecting a baby girl.
Duff took to Instagram to break the news, and needless to say, her Lizzie McGuire and Younger fans were more than a bit excited.
Whether the producers of Younger decide to write Duff’s pregnancy into her storyline or hide the bump with lots of ridiculously oversized books from the shelves of Empirical, remains to be seen.
But let’s just think about it for a second.
Consider how awesome it would be to see Kelsey killin’ it as a workin’ boss mum while running Millenial and her own little family on the side.
Kelsey has always fought hard for her career and is super passionate about her job, but babies change things – life becomes a juggling act, and I’d be keen to see how the minds behind Younger would approach portraying a career woman in her twenties with huge potential, just like Kelsey, when faced with impending first-time motherhood.
Also, think of the fashion.
Can you imagine Kelsey’s signature look in toddler form?
Tiny puffy baby shirt sleeves? Yes please.
Lauren would make the most amazing aunt.
Liza would be a great older and wiser council as someone who’s been there before and had a baby girl.
Josh would totally use the baby to cruise the streets of Brooklyn and pick up his next date…
And Diana would just have the best ‘babies are gross’ lines that I’m already too excited for.
Come on, Younger and Hilary, make it happen.
