We might not have any clues about who will play Wolverine next in the MCU just yet, but there has been a lot of fan speculation that Taron Egerton might take on the role when Marvel eventually reboots the character.
According to Digital Spy, Egerton has previously said he’s open to the idea, “That one I think is just a rumour. As far as I’m aware it’s unfounded. I don’t know if I’m quite grisly enough.”
“If the people at Marvel think I am, then great, let’s go. But I think there are probably better candidates. But I would love to be involved with that world somewhere,” he said.
If Egerton did get the role he’d be able to ask his former co-star Hugh Jackman for any tips on how to be more ‘grisly’.
But if you couldn’t quite visualise the Rocketman star in the role, Android phone artist The Main Man Creation has decided to create an image of the star as Wolverine – and it looks pretty damn good.

Some fans are hoping Daniel Radcliffe will be chosen for the role, but I can’t really picture him acting as the character.
Jason Momoa has previously said he’d love to play Wolverine, but let’s be honest, that’s never going to happen now that he’s Aquaman.
According to CinemaBlend, Deadpool creator Rob Liefield weighed in on all the Wolverine casting rumours and wasn’t keen on any of them, suggesting the person who’s cast should be an unknown actor like Jackman was when he landed the role.
No matter what happens, it’ll likely be years before we see any kind of X-Men movie.
