This Leaked Photo From The Wonder Woman 1984 Set Hints At A New Amazonian Tribe

Seriously can't wait for this movie.

A new photo from the set of Wonder Woman 1984 starring Gal Gadot might reveal details about some new characters joining the film.

The photo, which appeared on Reddit, features actress Rosanna Walls dressed as an Amazon. The caption on the photo seems to confirm Walls is part of the Amazonian tribe known as Bana-Mighdall.

The Bana-Mighdall tribe features in the Wonder Woman comic books and are a group of Amazons who break away from the rest of the women on Themyscira. They’re led by Diana’s aunt Antiope (Robin Wright) and left the island to seek revenge on men. They eventually settled in Egypt and were kept separate from the other Amazons.

Their conflict with those on Themyscira came to a head when they waged war on the Amazons on the island after being exploited by Circe, a villain from the comics.

It would be cool to see more of the Amazons, but it’s entirely possible the person who shared the photo to Reddit was mistaken and it’s just the new costume for the Amazons, who knows?

At this stage we don’t know too much about the movie other than the fact it’s set during the Cold War, Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) is somehow back from the dead and Wonder Woman is up against the Cheetah (Kristen Wiig).

Oh, and Wonder Woman looks like a serious badass in this poster:

We still have a while to go before we see any more official marketing as the movie was pushed back from the end of this year to June next year.
