Scott Morrison Isn’t Australia’s Daggiest PM But He’s Only A Tracksuit Walk Around Kirribilli Away From The Title

We have every faith that he can turn things around and show the nation just how daggy he can be.

Who is our nation’s daggiest PM is, to put it bluntly, a vitally important question which few Australian political pundits have had the guts to address.

Thankfully it’s now been definitively settled in the inaugural episode of Who Doesn’t Love Politics?, the new GOAT podcast hosted byNova Entertainment news director Michelle Stephenson and GOAT senior writer Andrew P Street, and joined in their inaugural episode by comedian Dan Ilic.

Scott Morrison is a strong contender, according to Illic, thanks to his combination of surf caps and Cronulla Sharks gear: “It’s a strong look which says ‘I’m not here campaigning, I’m just popping into a barbecue: I am like you, ‘you’ being a dumb person that votes in Australia. I am the same as you. I am not an elitist, I am a dickhead.”

“Look at my cap! MY CAP!”

Tony Abbott’s daggy love of Speedos got a vote from Stephenson, but Ilic found “As a man myself he really threatened my own masculinity. And then Hawke can drink beer, any time, on whim.”

The consensus settled on John Howard, thanks to “the tracksuits, the eyebrows, the college professor that just got tenure kind of vibe.” And gotta say, it’s a strong result.

You can hear the whole shebang on PocketCasts and iTunes every Friday, with episode one (also featuring an interview with independent candidate for Wentworth, Dr Kerryn Phelps) live right now.
