Thor Ragnarok Reunite! In… The All New Men In Black Remake

Dust off the black suits, grab those black Ray Bans, and let me see ya take a walk with me, just walk with me.

Rebooters of the universe take note – this is how you bring a successful nineties franchise back from the dead:

You create new and diverse characters, find some of Hollywood’s hottest young actors, make the most of their combined epic fan following, sign ‘em up, and watch everything else fall perfectly into place.

At least that’s what Sony is planning to do following the announcement that Tessa Thompson (confirmed) and Chris Hemsworth (rumoured) will be the leads in the all new Men In Black reboot.

Obviously, this isn’t the first time the stars have worked together – they already kicked-ass on screen in Thor: Ragnarok.

Fans of Agent Kay (Tommy Lee Jones) and Agent J (Will Smith) will have to reconcile with the fact that the duo from the initial trilogy (that’s a lot of numbery words) won’t be in the latest movie.

While the details are all a little hush hush at this point, it’s believed that the blockbuster flick won’t focus on an alien-busting duo, but rather focus on an ensemble cast.

F. Gary Gray is set to direct, while Iron Man’s Matt Holloway and Art Marcum are on board to pen the script.

Oh, and Senior Spielbergo? He’ll be jumping on board as executive producer.

Naturally, the Internet can’t get enough.

And there’s good reason for that.

Tessa ‘killin’ it’ Thompson is a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood right now.

Not only did she make her mark in Creed and Annihilation, she’s currently in the middle of shooting Creed II, and is set to star in the new movies, Furlough and Sorry To Bother You this year.

Oh, and she’s also going to be in Season 2 of Westworld because of course she is.

While both Thompson and Hemsworth have made a name for themselves playing epic action characters, Thor: Ragnarok proved both actors have the chops to take action and comedy to both a punchy and gut-bustingly funny level.

Aaand let’s not forget Chris’s hilarious role as the “flying beefcake” in the Ghostbusters reboot…

“Damn I was going for thoughtful…”
