It’s been a big day for… Listening to...

There Is A Wildly Impressive Number Of Big Name Celebrities Packed Into This UglyDolls Animated Movie

Someone has been flashing some serious cash.

Toy Story has taught us a lot of things, and one of them is that we are never too old to enjoy an animated film about toys. So UglyDolls looks like the kind of kid-friendly musical movie that we’re not opposed to getting around.

Besides the fact that the imperfect dolls are very cute and seem to be sharing an important parable about society, this movie is literally packed full of celebrities. The cast voicing the little creatures is a wild assembly of big names that we never thought we would see on a line up all together.

Well done to whoever was put in charge of rounding up the talent.

UglyDolls stars Kelly Clarkson as the main character Moxy, who leads a crew of imperfect dolls to the town of perfection. This is where all the dolls are perfect, and Nick Jonas is like the ‘hottie’ of the doll universe.

The cast is filled out with comedic legend Wanda Sykes, actor/musician/queer female icon Janelle Monáe, Emma Roberts, Charli XCX, country singer Blake Shelton, Gabriel Iglesias, Bebe Rexha, Lizzo, and Mr. Worldwide himself: Pitbull.

Imagine this cast banding together to perform the original songs in the film. That’s what we’re in for.

Then to top it all off, UglyDolls is directed by Kelly Asbury, the woman who brought us Shrek 2. Sign us up.

UglyDolls is set for a May 3, 2019 theatrical release in the US with no Australian release date set yet.
