Actual Dream Team Steve Carell And The Office Creator Are Blessing Us With A New Workplace Comedy Series

The Netflix series is based on Trump's idea for a 'Space Force' as an additional branch of the military.

Fans of The Office (US) can confirm that Steve Carell is the heart of that show. Without Michael, the whole thing falls apart at the seams. With that logic in mind, having Steve Carell back in action, starring in a new workplace comedy series run by the creator of The Office is a sure shot to success. And thankfully, that’s exactly what we’ve been promised. Steve Carell and The Office creator Greg Daniels are reuniting to bring us Space Force, a Netflix series riffing on Donald Trump’s infamous idea to open a space force as the sixth branch of the American military. Hallelujah and praise the good TV gods. Netflix has handed out a straight-to-series order for Space Force, obviously because they know a good thing when they see it. The series is co-created by Carell and Daniels, and is described asa workplace comedy centered around the people tasked with creating a sixth branch of the armed services — Space Force.” The video teaser from Netflix announces that,

“The goal of the new branch is to ‘defend satellites from attack’ and ‘perform other space-related tasks’…or something. This is the story of the men and women who have to figure it out.”

The scripts have yet to be written and a release date has yet to be announced, but we trust that the guys that brought us The Office are going to make magic happen here. So stay tuned and get psyched.
