There are many candidates for the highly competitive title of The Best Thing About The Good Place. It could be Eleanor’s creative insults, Ted Danson patting people, or Buff Chidi.
But after the season 3 episode “Janet(s)”, there’s probably only one real answer: D’Arcy Carden, who plays not-a-girl, not-a-robot Janet.
From her flawless line deliveries to her bar-brawl skills, from Bad Janet to Eleanor-pretending-to-be-Jason-Janet, Carden is the show’s MVP.
As we wait for The Good Place to return, you can enjoy a full five hours of Busty Alexa herself standing patiently in the boundless void where she lives, waiting for someone to summon her so she can BING over and help them out.
(Spoiler alert: it’s not actually a full five hours. She bings out at 1:15:10 and bings back in at 1:37:12.)
It’s a bit light on philosophy jokes, but it’s very slightly better than nothing.
